Thanks! Great socks are also the key for great drumming! John Bonham had the best socks ever made!

I am not even a DRUMMER, yet I am in the know of good drumming and THIS is FANTASTIC drumming! Your humble opinion of how you feel your sound still isn't John's is a testamanent of how amazing John was, but how hard your work at perfecting your abilities to emulate John Bonhams style, technique and love for drumming. You are FANTASTIC! Have you and Jason ever met? I don't know but how does Jason even feel about his ability vs. his Dad's? Does he feel humble like you? :-) I remember when John died. I was at the bus stop in my freshman year of High School. What an emotional deflated to hear this news. Again, not even a drummer, but as a fan of the most unique style in drumming. Never heard anything like it before, nor do I believe has any! Thanks for sharing your great drumming talent! May you always be looked upon as a drumming Saint to John and other great drummers of all kind!

Very useful and accurate, thanks a lot :) Also, the bass drum cam is great. I always thought you were a "heel down" drummer, but actually it looks like you're more comfortable with your heel up. By the way, you should add this in the description, it could be handy for many people : 0:05 fill played 0:21 intro 1:08 simplified version explanation 04:27 simplified version played 05:38 actual version explained 11:45 actual version played 12:45 fill played 13:03 outro

i found that a good way to practice the first part (the heritas) was to start with just the right hand and bass drum, then add the left hand once you've got that down. that way you can practice just triplets and feel the beat a bit better.

Instead of alternating leading with his left and right, are you sure Bonham didn't just cross his hands over? I've seen videos where he did just that.. i'm thinking of the triplet fill in Dazed and Confused for example. I normally don't lead with my right, so it's tricky for me. I suppose I should learn. Got the crossover down, though :)

Love these, I'm a metal drummer. You should throw in these rolls with dbl bass hits or a triplet on the single foot parts. Makes it sound wicked and a bigger audience covered if you do both versions. That's what I've been doing learn what you throw out then I expand by adding more bass hits usually a dbl or a triplet. We have the exact same dbl pedals.
@maxdurk46246 жыл бұрын
Scott Swift Thats literally why people make fun of metal drummers. Everything has to be overplayed. No sense of nuance in a lot of them. Just "how can I add more double bass to this?"

My brother-in-law is an accomplished blues/rock guitarist who's played professionally for over 40 years. I'm a self-taught noob on drums who hears one-e-and-ah-two-e and hears a foreign language and can barely read music. I've always wanted to jam with him and he finally comes to me and says "Let's play Stairway". Are you freakin' kidding me? LOL. I'm am in so far over my head but will take on the challenge.

well explained video, fudladump rhythm?surely you mean a single storke 4,...its what you played in other example.even though the 4 notes are evenly spaced, when you play them back to back there is a space of two sixteenth note triplets between each 4.If they were evenly spaced and played back to back they would be 16ths. That part is just a bit misleading.
