Honestly I've always thought this but then one day I discovered the magic of renting harps... I work part-time on minimum wage and can still pay for it plus skype classes. There's hope :) Although ultimately I want my own because then I don't feel like I'm "paying to the void", meaning I'm paying but I will never own the harp. There are some companies that offer to buy the harp after some time renting it and the rental fees will be deduced from the cost of the harp. A lever harp, to begin with, is much less expensive than a pedal harp and you can do almost anything beginner and intermediate level.

there was no editing in this video. It went straight from my camera to the internet. hence the poor sound quality AND noise from turning the page. sometimes the audio/video lose sync. when this happens, click on the little cursor as the video is playing and it should correct itself.

Usually harp songs come off as gloomy or dull to me, which is a shame since the harp as an instrument has a lot of potential. Personally I think you tap into that potential quite nicely.

Beautiful. Nothing sounds like the beautiful Harp. I thought I was getting good playing this song on the banjo, but a feller just cannot compete with that ol Harp. One of my professors in college taught Harp. It is just a wonderful sounding instrument.
