It's not exactly "exciting" but the other side of the non-aligned path the 'Expand the Federation' is by far the most broken since it allows you essentially core everything you can touch, including some of the highest production areas of Germany early on.

Yeah, but if you get the advisor on the left you can get something like twelve mils and six civs down that tree plus you can tell him to give the troops an inspiring speech. That side is amazing for building tall or keeping your militia traditions, but of course the factories are an amazing boost either way.

You joke, but as Switzerland was under austrian occupation, Austria can be considered swiss "historical lands™"(I use the term in the same way "superpowers" do). Which gives them same claim to all german, austro-hungarian and HRE lands. Which gives them a claim to all roman lands. Which gives them a claim to Russia, who cosplayed Byzantium and called itself "third Rome"(while claiming that it opposes western culture at the same time no less), which give you claims on Alaska and Golden Horde legacy ie China and so on... Swiss are "rightful rulers™" of entire world, haven't you known😅

It was an attempt to continue West Roman legacy/claim empire in that sense. Again by insane troll logic, this gives any claimant to the HRE a claim to the entire legacy of Rome. 3. The Eastern Roman Empire was still Rome. Russia believed itself the continuation of the Eastern Romans, especially following the marriage of the Eastern Roman princess to their king. From there... This is insane troll logic, but almost all historical claims, esp. those not rooted in recent history, are rooted in insane troll logic frankly. Going further reveals why this sort of revanchism and irredentism is a little bit destabilizing and insane.

I have an idea that involves lots of long-range bombers, nukes, and a certain country that was founded on a broken promise, but I have to build tall and stay out of the war until Britain breaks up its empire and that country forms. Then I immediately start WWIII and piss off the entire world just to see the shortest-lived nation in the world explode in a glorious mushroom cloud.

Try out power to the tsar Bulgaria next time (monarchist path) It's a bit more sluggish than the democratic path, but at least you get a handsome austro-hungarian as a leader (if you don't go for the regency council focus)

I’d like to see something with Zog Neutral Albania, Road to 56 has an "interesting peace with Italy" option, So focusing on Bulgaria and Greece becomes an option (Wether you want to split Yugoslavia up for easier solo plays, or use the AI Yugoslavia to help you take care of the other countries, is well, up to you Though the latter comes with possibly being dragged into a German war Sidenote: when invading Greece, Turkey might want to join against you) Also did it without any political cabinet, so it should be somewhat easier than usual Albania, and if it’s too easy, well, There’s always the Axis and Comintern

Well the germans lost to the soviets so hard because they had so many troops defending the border with you, and you joined the allies, and they were forced to defend the south, so the lack of troops is a major downfall for the AI.

Statuyi, some absolute madlad released a focus tree overhaul mod for Austria that adds 500 god damn focuses to austria and well over 10 paths. You should check it out. It's called "Austria Redone: Between two giants".
