It’s not a treaty port, it’s a split state but it doesn’t give the trade bonuses that a treaty port gives

Yeah, pdx were overhaulling the army/navy systems in 1.5. The army system at least kinda worked in all of the beta patches, but the navy was generally broken until full release - hence why GB didn't invade

Hi Stakuyi, For Iran/Persia and wine. Wine was actually a prominent part of Persian society until the revolution in the 70’s, with some of the oldest continuous vineyards being found there until then. The prohibition of wine in Islamic circles comes from the arabs and the Ottomans. In Iran many still home brewing wine from covert grape sellers to this day. Essentially think of prohibition in america, but it’s the puritans making the laws. One of the names of their wines (a famous deep red) was Shiraz (coming from Shiraz). A good number of Iranians/Persians when they come to Australia seem to have adopted our of own Shiraz wines out of a nostalgia it.

One tip is in the tech tree, those little plus buttons in the top left corners of each one, you can queue them up now instead of having to do each one. So you can map out how you want to do things years in advance or even your whole game if you’re patient enough.

I got to play Victoria III over the weekend cause it was temporarily free on steam. Gotta say I'm usually pretty good at games like this, but the war system is so confusing. I played a game as Prussia and ended up in 3 death wars with Austria. Despite having both France and Britain on my side and outnumbering the Austrians 3-1, we couldn't push. A million casualties on both sides Everytime all before 1865. Very frustrating.

yeah, recently 1.5 updated the war system, and it's mildly buggy/unbalanced at the moment, but apparently a quick patch is coming.

Mines can be anywhere. I'd imagine mountain mines would be harder to work then mines in plains or hilly areas. Getting materials up and down mountains is just a pain.
