20:40 while generally i agree with this sentiment, the reason youre getting that full warscore is because you hold your capital, which is the main wargoal in this, which is reasonable, i also think taking a piece of a province isnt the worst thing, but it definitely shouldnt give the full -2... when it gets especially rediculous is when the AI has war reps and can take a tiny colonial province in like africa, and tik down the warscore by 2 each week.

was gonna comment like this. if Vic3 is anything like other Paradox titles, both parties can have different war goals. In the case of China, since you're rebelling, their war goal is to occupy Tibet, which they control none of. After a while if they're able to occupy you, the war ends, which makes sense since even if the war is still going, they de facto aren't able to control you.

weird thought i had while watching this and suffering from the mouth burn of chilli you could mod V3 into a space race sort of game where there like 7 or so superpowers rushing got colonize a planet there's no chance of native uprising or could be dangerous animals or something like that so its very much a resource rush game for the resources of the new planet which would allow wars to happen

The reason landowners lose 5 opinion from you switching to agrarianism is that, because you already start out in traditionalism (+10 opinion) and switch to agrarianism (+5 opinion); despite them technically still liking agrarianism, its a net loss of opinion from them liking traditionalism more.

I love seeing backwaters that fought against industrial revolution, humans rights and progress like Qing, Russian Empire, Ottomans or Austria-Hungary reverse their course, BUT the problem I see with Vicky 3 right now is - if player knows what they're doing, they're unstoppable. Meanwhile even in HoI not all countries are equal and some challenges will stop most players even against AI. And in Stellaris AI can be just brutal(on default empires) with all the bonuses. Gotta see if it's possible to run away into stratosphere as one of the above mentioned countries in MP. Plus I don't understand how personal unions work. How can I make one or arrange royal marriage between Qing and Russia for example?
