Great great great stuff! I totally implement your approach! I have one question about breaking tasks (or goals) into smaller tasks: What is the reason not to create a list for a goal (or in GTD terms, a project). I'm asking this because you'll have to keep this goal into your ' today' over several days, because you can't finish the goal, all subtasks, in one day. If you work on several goals parallel, which is realistic, you'll keep all those goals in the today list. If on the other hand you have one task (as part of a project) on one day, you can check it off and it will disappear, which will give satisfaction. \What are your thoughts on this?

Halo Stale! Do you have a walk through of setting up the pomodoro task to create the outlook event with the conditions you showed @ 2:02:50?

Once again this is exactly what I have been looking for and really matches with what I have been trying to do and really helps with the areas I have been struggling. I didn't viva had some of this functionality which really fits with my flow. Do you know when the timer functionality will be available? Fantastic video and really, really helpful. Thanks so much!

How do you send/share to TODO with the Windows OS environment? share is native to android rather than Windows OS. Does edge browser have any send to todo functionality?
2 жыл бұрын
Great question :) No share to ToDo in Edge yet, hopefully someday it will be there. What I typically do on a PC is to open todo and write down the task manually and copy the link. I have ToDo on the taskbar so it goes quick. Thanks for watching👍

Yes, I use Michael Linenbergers Total Workday Control Outlook method. This relies on a highly customised task sidebar in outlook. Todo does not have the same level of customisation. For example I can set low priority on tasks and also fire emails into tasks while archiving the email and also attaching a copy to the task item in outlook. Todo also lacks a start date option which keeps tasks hidden until you are ready to start them using Linenbergers method. Outlook tasks lack checklists within a single task however.

Great content. I was curious how you processed/executed on a particular task. There are several times that I have a task to respond to someone with some information, so I do some assessment, gather some data, and respond to someone. But I'm asking them a question for which a next action depends on their answer (I'm waiting for and looking for their response to do something). Do you flag that msg you sent or something as in you are looking for a resonse and if you haven't heard back you have an indicator to follow-up with them? How do you flag those, messages you send that you will need to follow-up if you haven't heard something back.
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks👍 Typically people get back, but if it's important, I will flag that sent message, or note down a step on the existing task that I have sent an email and are waiting for a response. Depends on how complex the task is.

I've been playing around with this myself. I've made Lists for "Waiting For..." different groups of people I need responses from. I have a WF Coworkers, WF Manufacturer, WF Customer... And then I move the tasks around once I get a response. I'm not a huge fan of this so far though. Might try some sort of flagging or he mentions #'s on here. Might give that a shot.

@@bguggs16 LOL, true, so flagging the sent email is the follow up or add it as part of the subtask for the larger goal👍

@ do I need a future focus appointment for the pomodoro power app to work or can it just rely on old ones? Do you always need to change it to low importance and working elsewhere to get the pomodoro flow working?
2 жыл бұрын
@@DarkSitari past appointments, book a week of appointments or two and then do the trick showed in the timestamp above.
@DarkSitari
@DarkSitari 2 жыл бұрын
@ does it rely on a single appointment to work? As in, will one old focus appointment work indefinitely? Or does it need fresh viva focus appointments for each new pomodoro?
2 жыл бұрын
It takes the last appointment and copies it to the current pomodoro. I recommend having two weeks of focus times in the past in the calendar so that you get a full week of pomodoros in your current week. Hope that makes sense.
