I really enjoyed this short series here on KZbin. These are really good videos for pilots of all skill levels.

Thank you so much for the tip with the rudder ! I didn't know about this one. "Communicating with your airplane.." sounds fair to me and I was already doing it with the engine. I guess more flight hours give you a greater feedback as what the plane is telling you. One has to learn to feel and listen as well. Does that mean aviators are sensitive people ? :) I guess so

Great job Spencer, to bad there aren’t many real instructors with the passion skills to teach our future aviators……nothing but young time builders in a rush to fly straight and leave in an RJ.

They don’t even teach stalls anymore in the UK as part of the ppl. It used to be ssat, stalls, spin awareness training, now they only take you to the buffeting. Nothing like a power on stall in a c150 and incipient spin lol.

I remember my flight instructor long ago said that he wanted me to prevent a spin. He put what felt like full throttle (I dont remember) and pitched the airplane up and kept it for what looked like 45 degrees over the horizon (was probably 20, not sure). He said use the rudder from having the airplane go into a spin. I was afraid of the spin so I used rudder to keep the airplane level. It wobbled left and right and after a while I felt the engine starting to smell like it was burning. He lowered the nose and said, that's how you control the airplane from entering a spin. Rudder is your friend.

Your experience at the edges and outside of the flight envelope should not go out with big titles like "stalls are fun" in social media as this may cause an incorrect perception of your message by less experienced people. Saying that with respect, a fellow PPL/IR(A) here. Safe landings

Thanks for the comment. Learning to embrace stalls as a normal part of flying - which they are - better aligns pilot skillsets to the basic capabilties of planes. In my experience, pilot's fear the aspects of flying they think are beyond their ability to control.
