@NiceGuyGamer well you might as well go all the way and get a Mac Pro laptop. Pretty much every video on KZbin is edited on a Mac, and the editing software “final cut” is faster than anything else. PC software just didn’t compare. I mean I have all kinds of tech all brands... but one thing for sure when I’m doing serious work it’s on a apple hardware. Once you are used to the speed and reliability, and generally how faster you can get shit done, you’ll never use a Windows PC for real serious media work. There’s a lot of fun vids where people compare massive expensive PC builds, and by comparison an older Mac encodes and edits video faster! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯😎😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍👍👍

I'm curious if the lens on the main camera is bigger to match the bigger sensor. If Apple is using the same 26mm lens as on the other 12s I am not sure the larger sensor will be much of a benefit depending on how big of a lens circle the current 26mm is casting. For example if you mount a DX lens on an FX Nikon the computer will crop the sensor to match the smaller lens basically making the sensor a smaller DX sensor. Why not a Nokia 9 pureview (if it has to be a phone) or get a X-T4 camera - both shoot in raw .. and use a real computer to edit the photos instead of Apple coding? I mean, if the processor is the magic wand here .. pretty much any half decent PC+graphics card will easily outperform anything Apple is remotely able to put into the phone.

More noise in the ultra WA is mainly because of the tiny tiny sensor of both tele and ultra wide camera. Also due to the aperture, true. It is time Apple upgrades the underspec'd sensors of those 2 cameras.

One question: When I look at phone camera footage taken with an attached anamorphic lens, I see what I think would be called “warping.” As someone who's new to photography, I’ve wondered what this was and thought it might be IS trying to do its job. Is it? If so, would the sensor based stabilization in the Max eliminate this? Would greatly appreciate an answer. Thanks

What’s the drawback of going from f/2.0 to f/2.2 on the telephoto lens? Worse pictures? The only real jump in quality should come from the main wide camera on the max. The ultra wide is the same, and the telephoto is worse than the regular pro(due to higher f stop). Is the trade off worth it?

Keep in mind that the cable that the phone comes with has a usb c connector on the other end instead of usb c, so when they say they didn’t want people to get another charger they won’t use they were referring to people who bought their fast charger for $80. If you still use the charger that your previous iPhone came with you still need to get another charger if you want to use the cable your phone comes with.

It uses lightning cable. How do you not have one? They are literally everywhere. If you have had literally any Apple device since 2012 you already have this. It also comes with a USBC to lightning cable cord so if you have any USB C device you can use this to charge. I use wireless charging... and that is definitely the future so it’s kind of moot for most people. The MagSafe wireless charger is 2X faster than the old model.

Why does Tyler keep comparing the iPhone to the A7SIII and the Canon R5?? He talks like 10-Bit and IBIS have only came out this year with these cameras? 10-bit has been around for forever and IBIS has really entered the mainstream with the GH5 in Mainstream cameras back in 2017 and has been in more niche devices before then. What I expected Stalman to say as a Photographer/Videographer was to compare how smartphone used the lens to stabilize which is what we with DSLRs and Mirrorless cameras know as Lens Stabilization and now what iPhone has introduced is In-Body Image Stabilization where the Sensor itself is stabilized or (IBIS). Which btw has been introduced in phones like the Vivo X50. It seems that he is going for a buzzworthy type of delivery here which could be very misleading to people not in the know. Which I respect Tyler to not have to stoop to sense he himself is a seasoned photographer and Camera operator and seems to want to inform the viewer as much as possible. (Edited: Spelling)
