I had a minor problem with a Stam product recently. I contacted Stam expecting to work with some tech support/ customer service person but no! Josh contacted me personally and, like he said in the interview, I sent the compressor to a local rep in the USA - problem solved! I was most impressed!

No one knows when a song is going to hit, or when a company is going to go through the roof like Stam Audio, Also its very hard to prepare for so many orders and such popularity because you don't know if its going to do well, so your not going to invest a million bucks, which means your not going to have a lot of stock. I understand where Joshua is coming from and he has a difficult job. Hopefully people will be a little more understanding in the future, and grow with Stam and not against Stam. Great interview, Fabulous new website and i am looking forward to having a lot more of Stam Audio's AMAZING products.

Received my SA 1073 MPA and absolutely love it. It was a very long wait. Just going to get my SA 76 ADG any day now and if its as good as the 1073 I will be very happy. I really hope Josh gets things running smoother as far as wait times because I can see me getting more gear.

STAM AUDIO is one of the BEST period. Love the gear (SA-4000 & SA-76ADG) long waits as of now yes , But I believe it will get better. Also Joshua is a Stand up Guy. He will reach out to you if you have a concern, and Do His best to assure you things are getting taken care of to get you your Gear!

This only gives me more faith in Stam Audio. I have the SA47, 1073, and several on preorder and the quality this company is putting out there is unmatched for the price. Patience is rewarded in life, and in this case. People can complain about the wait time but from experience this gear is on a different level than most clones, or all of the clones I've tried. I have some vintage Neumann mics and Stam mics immediately remind me of the sound. Great Job Joshua

Josh really is a 'stand-up' guy... I have several Stam units on order and like others, concerned about the missed delivery dates. I sent an e-mail and the following day he called me! Surprise!!! Anyway, he gave me an updated schedule and I have received the first component as/when promised. BTW, it sounds incredible...

I have a few Stam Audio pieces -- I use them all the time in my small studio. The wait was long for my SA-4000 MK3 but it was worth it. Joshua is a quite passionate dude and makes top notch gear.

Hey Josh, I have your sa47 mk2 and it works and it rocks. I ordered it in January 2022 and it arrived in May. The wait times are getting better and I commend you for that. I also ordered not one but two of your 500 series version of the sa4000 and both of them should arrive tomorrow according to tracking. I'm stoked and can't wait for more. Keep up the good work.

I can honestly say i have NEVER heard of anyone NOT getting what they paid for. I have heard/read ALOT being upset about how long it takes and not getting a returned email in a timely manner...and he gets it. He said that initially he didn't focus on customer service as much as product quality because he figured the product would speak for itself and that was a mistake. I personally have been watching this company for a couple years and when they announces their U47 almost bought it, but decided to build my own instead and i was finished a year+ before they began shipping. All of this said...many people say "be understanding" and that's all good, you are getting an amazing deal, yes you are... BUT when you take someones money YOU MUST be willing to communicate and do anything and everything to make sure they feel comfortable with you. Once you take that money the entire situation is different than before you take it. IF there are going to be delays and you do not want to answer 1000 emails a day get out in front of it (i think this interview is exactly what i mean...good choice doing it) post what is going on. That will go a VERY long way with people. Once you have their money you cannot ignore them and hope that once they get the product they will be satisfied, that's not a good business/service model. I'm not saying that is what is going on here, but When you leave people to their own thoughts that is when people start to go off the deep end...and when you do not answer people and they feel like they have been ripped off it will go very bad...they begin to think they are being ignored and that is really the only negative i have seen/heard read about Stam. I do not know why i am posting this huge comment, but here it is. At THIS point, maybe not in the future, the reality is...If you want a Stam Audio piece of gear, know going in it WILL take a long time, maybe up to a year, maybe more...and if it comes in 3 months HUGE bonus!! This thing exploded for him really quickly and he straight up was not prepared. He's is learning as he is going and i am confident he will figure it out...there is too much money here for him to shoot himself in the foot (i absolutely applaud him for figuring out a way to make it happen when you do not have any money to do it! Very good job there!) When you "pre-order" prepare yourself for a good wait...if you do not want to wait do not buy it...there are other options around that will also work, but one thing that seems to resonate with what this guy is doing is that people love the sound and quality of what they make. If that is something you want, and can live with everything that comes with it, in the end you will probably be very happy with the result....ok sorry about the Novel! Now Stam...give me a Stamchild! haha!!

We have such a chance to have a handsome young role model engineer/artist/designer in a south country making the best hardware clones (imo) in direct sale, I think people may have to understand some things, you can't have great things cheap, quick, and made with heart and passion, consciously packed in a heartbeat, go get boutique hardware instead, this price is for people that want to invest in this familly "compagny" Its obvious, Am I wrong ? Thanks for being a role model Joshua Im proud of you and you inspire me to be like you !

Its also great to have a framework to make some of the best things, like cooking to be the best chef you have to make the classics at least as good or better :) Then you will be better as yourself with your recipe, like learning cooking with your grandma or with a michelin chef

I think Stam's model of business is absolutely brilliant! I am hoping that, soon, they will not need to take 'advance deposits' and be able to afford to build as many units as they need! And...for the 'naysayers'...it's quite typical, especially with boutique gear repair, that no date is given for delivery. I've even had an expensive, boutique microphone, that took over 9 months to be repaired and returned to me. Sort of goes with the territory...
