Hi Chris. I have the SA400-5 and the 76A-5. Theyre in my 500 rack as external fx in c12. I use the externals during tracking to extend my channels to 24 with outboard pres and use the compressors often for vox monitor so they can push into it without printing. Also use them all during mixdown. Seems I always find a place they fit nicely. OTS Enjoyed your videos. They were helpful filling in areas where I didnt have as much exposure to the features. Loving c12, wish there was a mix% on the fw loop tho!

I love the 175 and 176 plugins from UAD so the added tubes give me some of that richness to the 1176 that I’ve been craving.

I mix hybrid with cubase. I love it. Stam is such a great company too. I wish that 1176 was a stereo to use it on a vocal buss

hello chris. thanks for this presentation of this very interesting 1176. the slow position is a very good idea, it could make me buy it. and the tube position why not :) I almost always use the 10dc bae for recordings it adds du beurre dans les épinards :) and for mixing it is simply unbeatable on the kik. I also use for mixing a la2a for vocals and bass. my 1176 still in British mod position. for an essential parallel comp I use it on everything. this stam will be perfect for my vocal channel. I also use tegeler cream rc on my mix bus. it also works superbly on female voices i will test more things with it. Merci Chris

stam is amazing! I got the 6th sa76 d+ they made, needless to say I was quick to buy the unit once they announced it... the extra features are so amazing. I also have the stam sa47 mk2, the combination of both is a match made in heaven...or better yet, in Chile :p

This looks promising. I work with analog gear in a hybrid setup. My interface is a RME Ucx II and RME Octamic 8, UAD MK610, BAE 1073. My Neve lunchbox has a SSL VHD Pre, dbx 160A and BAE 500c. I'm running Adam Audios 7X7s as my monitors. Cubase is my DAW of course lololol. My BAE 500c is a FET compressor, modeled after the original 1176 and honestly I haven't found a plugin that pleases my ears in the same way. The same is true for my DBX160a which is a VCA. When those along with my UAD MK610 give that hint or actual distortion it truly is magical and the instruments damn near mix themselves. So much body, harmonics, cream and girth. I'm still a student and constantly trying to learn and get better. I started out with purely in the box, but once I added some analog it is worlds different at least for me. It also takes you out of the incessant new plugins arms race, as you won't have a need to chase. I don't need a new saturator plugin or tape delay emulator, because I have real transformers and circuits. But be warned once you got analog it becomes an addiction and your credit card or bank account needs an intervention lololol.
