Hey, very useful video! I am upgrading my Traxxas Bigfoot (which is basically stampede with a bigfoot body) to 3S with Hobbywing 10BL120 brushless combo, and when I try to screw in the motor into the stock holes for the smaller pinion, the gear mesh comes out too tight. The holes are set by some sort of motor bracket which is made out of soft plastic. I guess I could just widen the hole a bit, but then I'm afraid that the motor wont be held in place as securely as it should... Did you have a similar problem with your 3S system?

Is your original stampede brushless? If yes, did you upgrade the gears, I bought a vintage stampede and dunno of the original gears work either brushless

@@WowoodogPlays it’s been decades since I ran that original one, so it has never seen brushless power. I used to run a 7 cell nimh and 16t modified motor and it held up decently to that. If I remember correctly, though, the gear on the outside of the diff case is plastic so you may want to update that. I also remember shearing the pin that holds the top gear onto the top shaft. They make an upgrade for that, too. Good luck with your build!
