Stamping Your Logo on Your Packaging

Stamping up boxes with my custom logo.

If you find it hard to get the logo right on the center, you can make it deliberately of center. That way no one will know it's not precise, and it will still look professional. As my wife always says: "If you can't hide it, exaggerate it."

I agree with Tim. a nice press will make all the difference keeping it centered and consistent pressure.

You are right, nice packaging makes you think better of the product inside and that care was taken. Making a jig for the stamp should be easy to make and improve consistency.

What a great idea - I'm looking at Eco-packaging and was wondering about the "friendliness" of the ink - I'd imagine it'd be pretty innocuous, but thought you may have looked into it.

Soy and Veggie inks are worth looking into....they all have pluses and minuses from what I have seen

Hi Harry when I was doing my leatherwork years ago i used a rubber stamp to stamp the back of belts and on my other products, it had all my Contact details on the stamp and after that I would put a coat of Satin Seal over it so make it as permanent as Possible I used a GOLD ink and it really made them shine , By doing this you make sure the person using your product ALWAYS has your details with them esp when that friend asks " Where did you get that from ?" nothing like free advertising !

Yep been there and done that with the stamp but it is great for embellishing a blank box. I graduated to a gold foil stamped label that I like very much.

Is it necessary to have waterproof ink for the packages to keep them from getting rained on?

I use ink pad ink and that seems fine, I think it's preferable to be waterproof but it should not get wet so if an eco friendly version is available it's certainly best to use that.

Try Amazon...it's standard rubber stamp ink sold in small bottles.

Ideally a veg based ink, but it will probably be a matter of what you can get hold of...look for stamping ink.

So, there I was, standing in the kitchen and about to start cloning myself when my wife walked in, saw the food processor, ziplock bags, sausages, cheese and vinegar and said "I hope you don't think you are going to start cloning yourself because it's hard enough for me to put up with one of you let alone 78 so you can just get that idea out of your head right now". I started to explain that you had told me to clone myself but I got The Look and decided I was too close to death. I might get a chance to do some cloning when she goes shopping tomorrow but she has hidden the vinegar so that will be a problem. Sorry about that.
