I am not one to share but enjoy reading everyone else's comments and watching. In this case I must make an exception. My husband and I with our normal nightly routine, I face in card videos while he is on some sports channel asked if I was watching my "storyteller". I replied no. Of course , I'd already watched this one and moved on. He said, you should watch her, I want to hear a story. Of course I had to pull from history and watch your video with my tough, sports crazed husband. He turned the game off long enough to watch and laugh at your story. I hope this gives you a little chuckle as it did me.

Beautiful card - I love all of the colors!!! When my son was your son's age...we got him a rabbit. Apparently, it's hard to tell if the rabbit is male or female, (especially when they are young). Ours was very easy to litter box train, but we couldn't leave him out of his cage for long. His favorite thing to do was get behind furniture and chew electrical cords! When he was a few months old...whenever we would let him out of his cage...he would "spray" his scent! It was a horrible odor and you could NOT get it out of carpeting or furniture easily. Plus, when we would let him out, he would want to be all over us...and those little claws are sharp! Anyway...a friend had several rabbits and he went to live with her and her rabbits. We got a puppy. 😀 Good luck with choosing the perfect pet!!!!!!

So when I got my first apartment I went a little pet crazy. I had rescued three feral cats who two of which were 9 months old before being rescued and were pretty much wild. Add to that one barn kitten I hand raised. Then a family friend died suddenly and no one would claim the parakeet. So of course it came home with me. I had one growing up figured I knew what I was doing. No one knew his name. Knowing my cats I got the bright idea to hang the cage from the ceiling so it’s high enough away from them. So about a week in I come home from work, the living room is in shambles. One of the cats is IN the cage, which is hanging about 3 feet off the floor now, and I to this day have no idea how he fit through the tiny little door. The bird is hanging out on the curtain rod. The two other cats are cowering behind a torn up couch. That bird OWNED those cats after that. No idea what happened but they would not go near the cage and he lived a long full birdy life. I named him Lunch after that.

We had a black lab named Pepper too ... came home from work one day and she had chewed the carpeting up, knocked over house plants and chewed the 'rocker' part of the wooden rocking chair ! Luckily there were no birds or guinea pigs for her to torment. Your story gave me flash backs ...lol :-) Love the card .. the monster is so cute :-))

Super Cute card... Funny short story. My husband and I accidentally left my father-in-laws back door open one day. Well he had a parakeet that he adored. We hated that bird because he NEVER shut up. He talked and chirped ALL THE TIME. Well this day we left the door open a stray cat came in the house. That cat found the bird cage. Let's just say when my father-in-law came home that night he found his precious bird dead at the bottom of the cage with basically no feather on his body. That darn cat couldn't get to the bird but got close enough it scared it and we think the bird had a heart attack. We just told him the bird must have had a seizure or something.... My mother-in-law did shut the back door before he noticed and he was never told the real reason the bird died. If he knew we left that door open it would have got ugly. 🤐

Such a cute a colorful card!! LUV all the textures going on! If you are still considering pets, you might try a rescue? Usually, there are plenty of fully trained dogs that people decide they can't handle. Pick a mild manner one, introduce it your's & see how they do. *Some shelters make this mandatory? Either way, wouldn't it make you feel wonderful to save a life(that someone else gave up on!), get Peanut his pet(without fear it'll be eaten. Lol) & Molly has a friend!? It's a win win!!

Great story! Love the blue monster...I agree with the other lady all the best monsters are blue...like Sully on Monsters Inc. Stay away from fish, there tanks stink and they can be very agressive and eath the other fish. We deal with this all the time at the pediatric dental office I work at and always have to put a peice of paper up to cover the demise of one of the fish. A cat is always good!

Oh, my! This is so cute! I think I have to grab this stamp set. The big monster in Monsters, Inc (Sully?) was blue, too, and his fur was very soft and spiky (if that makes any sense). I remember how it moved in the movie and thought the effects were wonderful. Almost forgot to say thanks for the lesson on how to color balloons and the wood sign.

All the best monsters are blue - Cookie Monster & Grover. gotta love Grover. And his book: There is a monster at the end of this book. Sixty years latter I can still recite it. And my grand daughter loved it too. We had a rabbit when my daughter was young. Works well with a litter box. Just have to watch for chewing. but all in all he was a great pet. thanks as always for sharing.

So cute...makes me think of the purple people eaters.🤣 My daughter had a hamster 🐹 who got loose - we found him two weeks later at 3:00 in the morning under the night stand in MY ROOM. (I thought I could hear him - Ugh!) Caught the little fellar & returned him to his cage which I quickly placed in the bathtub...I wasn’t going to chance another escape!

Cute card Kelly! I know what you are talking about with the pets and the dog. Our Jack Russell got my son's Hamster. She didn't leave a mark on the Hamster, but he was dead. Killed him internally. I can't even imagine coming home to feathers and such! Good Luck with find another pet. I am training a puppy right now and didn't plan to! My son came home with her, my German Shepherd and her get a long great, but I didn't want to have to train another dog. lol So I have her in the day time and my son takes her after work. Talk about tiring! At almost 60, she wears me out as a puppy is worse than an infant! We will get there, but it can't come soon enough for me! lol Hugs, Brenda

When my son was in kindergarten we got him a gecko, but he had to “earn” the heat rock that they need in their tank by tying his own shoes 21 times. Then he was responsible to tie them himself after that. Geckos eat crickets or meal worms but you only need to get them about once a week. We did have a few crickets get loose in the house and chirp at night.

Omg! Kelly, I love, like seriously, love your pet stories! Definitely helps me feel not alone in the crazy pet story category! 😂😂😂 my older daughter kept bringing home kitties until I wound up with six! Mind you she’s in her late 20s and should stop dumping kitties on her poor mother! Thank heavens I was spared the German Shepherd that she couldn’t keep! I have a golden retriever and I’m a one and done doggie mom! Oh and by the way she lives three thousand miles away .. so how do I keep getting her kitties? We had outdoor bunnies that my darling hubby brought home as a surprise .. also he rescued (brought home to me) six baby ducks when their momma was killed in traffic .. you are not alone! That’s it! I’m done taking in pets and I’m done with my rant! lol

Mine, our dog growing up was adopted( full blooded German Shorthair) we bred her with a friends dog (same breed etc) thus we had 12 puppies, it was summer, so they were kept in our enclosed back porch with their mother. We couldnt find my Sister, about 1week after the pups were born...she was in the box with the puppies!! & Lady( the mother) was just watching!!...not doing anything?!!! My Mom was like what are you doing?..."But Mommy... they attacked me!!" the puppies were crawling all over her! It was too funny & we have pics!!..LOL

My first thought was Sully from Monsters, Inc. Your little fuzzy monster is cute. When my son was younger he wanted a bunny. I got him a bunny, a really pretty bunny. But they're kind of hard to take care of. They seem to poop non-stop. The cage would have to be cleaned all the time which I thought was a hassle. Picking him up was no picnic either. Long story short, he went to a new home. Goldfish are pretty easy to care for, no special food, no heated water or filter needed. I don't know if staring at them through a bowl is much fun though. I'm a dog person.

Being a house of pets, over the years we have had all the furry creatures. Good call on the bunny, even if the dog does OK, house rabbits are fragile and a lot of work. They love to eat electrical cords and baseboards. So bunny proofing in a must. And they have delicate stomachs so making sure they are eating a balanced diet is a pain. We had guinea pigs as well, our Golden got along great with them and they have more personality then most hamsters that we have had. And size makes them more cuddly too. Love the card when I saw the posts on Instagram this morning it was the first order I've made in 6 months!

Awww that poor blue bird😔 thats awful. Ive always had dogs,cats,ferrets,fish, sugargliders, they all got along. So i cant relate. I have s dog that barks n chases pther dogs snd will try n run after cats. We have cats and he pays no attention to them. But its not worth the risk for the animal if ur not sure if Molly will hurt it. Bettas are WONDERFUL. I had one in my 20's for 6 YEARS! and again about 6 yrs ago. Highly recommend getting just 1,betta and in a 1.5 or 2 gallon tank. Those bowls are cruel n too small. My betta would swim side to side following me. They can get depressed too. I changed his tank around 1x and he laid on the bottom of the tank! Switched it back,happy!😍 Anyway i Love this card🤩🤩 n this set. I hope its still in stock by the time i get my bday GC as i want it so bad! So cute. Sorry for the novel!😉 thx for sharing!

Kelly, as someone who had fish when I was a teenager, I'd highly recommend NOT getting them, if you are concerned about longevity of life. No matter what, mine never managed to live very long. Not sure how old Molly is, but have you considered adopting a slightly-older-than-puppy dog? One that's young (maybe 2 or 3 years old), but already housebroken, basically trained, etc. That way, Peanut could have a pet, Molly could have a companion, and you shouldn't have to work very hard! :) If you go something like that route, please please please adopt from a shelter or rescue group!!! There are lots of dogs & cats at those facilities who deserve forever homes, but often get euthanized because of lack of resources. #adoptdontshop OK, getting off the soapbox. I do love how this card came out. The monster (minus the pink belly & horns) kind of makes me think of Cookie Monster, just from your coloring. Of course, Cookie Monster also had the big eyes. But, if you used googly eyes on the monster in this set, that detail could be replicated! :) I also like the sign, and I think you managed to increase the legibility fine by going over with the lighter marker. Thanks so much for sharing this! :)

Super cute card!! When my kids were young we did fish, cleaning tank , pain in butt, Guinea pig, not bad, hamsters easy, bunnies expensive all the veggies, pellets, plus all the poop, cat, don't like litter boxes, how about foster or rescue a year or so old pup. 🤔😉😀

I would get a kitten. We had guinea pigs as kids. You have to clean the cage. It is easier to clean the litter box in my eyes. Cats also live longer. The card is just fantastic as always.

I really love that monster! We have a beta with a little sucker fish. He is fast and there is greenery for him to hide in. Sometime the beta likes to stalk the sucker fish. That's entertaining. Lol You're pet story crack me up. I had to struggle not to laugh out loud at work wiith dog licking the guinea pig. Yes I watch/listen to your videos while scanning.

OMG - this is so cute!! a) loved that movie from the 80s with Fred Savage and the monster! awesome! ha! b) my cat we have now...when he was a kitten, he knocked over my little tiny aquarium, in which lived my nickel sized frog and tiny tiny snail that lived with me ALL THROUGH COLLEGE (it think it was only supposed to live for 3 months or something! ha!)...AND ATE HIM!! ha ha ha! so yeah...i feel the massacre you lived through c) fun fact, when i was little we had 3 parakeets, a yellow one (sunny) and blue one (windy) and a green one (buzzy). my parents would let them fly around the house sometimes! super fun!

Animal shelters have lots of dogs that are already house trained and they usually know if they are good with kids and other dogs. You can take your dog to the shelter to introduce them to know in advance if they will be buds. Sadly, I've never seen an instance where they reveal if the dog is a chewer.

Fish...Good option African Cichlids are very colorful and very hardy fish...Beta fish don't live very long the males are the colorful ones that fight I believe the only other fish you can put with them is a female...don't quote me though..Guinea pigs and rabbits stink..cage cleaning weekly bah humbug!! lol...What about a gecko or bearded dragon?? they make awesome pets, get them young they can be handled and some actually have a little personality..easy to care for...side note if Molly chases rabbits etc in the backyard she will chase the one in the house..speaking from my own experience

Your dog is a mastiff mix right? From what I remember it is, but my brain is scrambled eggs half of the time so I could be wrong, but if she/he is, mine loves to try and eat bunnies, she chased a huge pig, she tries to stand up to horses, she wants to eat the goats (my in laws have a ranch), the point to my story lol, yes be sure to introduce them slowly

I didn't buy a set and I wouldn't recommend it. Copics work so well because they blend together. The sets do not provide enough similar colors to get good blending. I would recommend starting slow. Go with colors you'll use the most and get a set of grays. Like to color animals? start with grays and browns. People? skintones. Flowers, greens and your favorite color. etc.

So the male beta fish will kill each other and they're the ones you see for sale. The female ones won't fight, but they don't have the frilly fins, so people don't really sell them. You can get a tank divider so you can have two males but avoid the fighting. That's a cool solution. Fish geek out over. PS I think Mollie will have the same issues with a guinea pig as with a bunny. They are both twitchy and delicious in the canine mind... A turtle... neither twitchy nor delicious...? PPS Love the card.

Beyond adorable! Do NOT get a mini hamster EVER! We got one with 1 eye, named him Argh, and that little bastage would take all his shavings, heap them in a pile in the corner. Spill his food then lay in wait for the sucker that reached in to get his food bowl !!!!!!! Then the other one (daughters) named Oreo (yes blk n whi combo) I swear climbed to the top of its cage and committed suicide. Hailey was HORRIBLE about cage cleaning/feeding/watering...... I will NEVER have anymore of those little buggers! Guinea pigs are CUTE!

I want big happy ballons for my BIRTHDAY, which is Friday by the way. My youngest and my bestie are throwing me a little dinner party. Here's the line up. My immediate family except dad however if he makes incredible strides and he can transfer himself, we would go get him for the evening. Oh btw he's Cdif free, in the his own room. Yay! My son, Mommy, youngest Olivia, my adopted son, adopted granddaughter, by bff, her mom, my nephew, his girlfriend and my adorable great nephew. Also inviting my estranged daughter (who's now tallking to me) and her boyfriend. I'd love to have you and Peanut join us. We live in California. Prepare for for 100+ weather. Loved the story....but your dog wasn't a murderer he only played with them and went a little wild. hah aha ha ha ha ha ha..or they would have been dead. I've been reading on Pinterest about bunnies and they are not so easy to take care of. They are a prey animal and can be very nervous at times and jumpy if there is a lot going on it the house. They also have to eat at least every 12 hours and if they miss that meal things can go down hill for them. They are not as easy to care for as dogs or cats. May I suggest a short haired rescue... cat. They get on with kids a lot easier and can be more of a companion. Read up on Rabbits. They are more sensitive to raise and it might be harder to do than you think. Also they need vet care too and it's harder to find vets who have knowledge about rabbits. A rescue of a cat and see first if the cat likes your little boy. Take your time it's always a responsibility. They get attached too. Great story and loved the card and especially how the balloons look............pat
