Love those pots turned lanterns, Kelly! Also, the bold, bright, HAPPY colors! I needed some giggles in my life today, so thank you for providing them. Your bit about the downed trees reminded me of when Hurricane Ike blew through here. We live in East Texas, so by the time it got up here, I think it had been downgraded to a tropical storm. Still--lots of rain & wind. Our van was in the shop--about 30 miles away from our house--and we were supposed to pick it up that day. Did we do the sensible thing & stay home out of the storm? No, we went up and got our van. Coming home, I was driving the van, & Mama was driving our other car behind me. Coming through a small town between here & the dealership where our van had been, I turned a corner and saw what I thought was a low-hanging tree over a slight hill. No--it was a downed tree IN the road. Mama had already made the turn onto that street, so we both had to turn around and take a slightly different route to back to the highway to head home. Later that afternoon, we lost power at our house. So what did we do? We went back up to the city 30 miles away, and went to Braum's for sundaes (they did have electricity and were open). I was not staying anywhere with no electricity--and no air conditioning! My brother (who was also living here at the time) stayed home and monitored the storm. Fun day! Thankfully, it moved through in one day, and by the next morning it was bright & sunny. Thank you so much for sharing your fun card, and for the laughs! :)

This such an adorable scene. You totally transformed those pots and perfectly accomplished turning them into lanterns. They are beautiful and you'd never know the weren't lanterns unless you pointed it out. That is what a great card maker can do! And those cacti, OMGosh sooo darling. This is an awesome card!!!! Love this design, especially with the fiesta music playing! Lol Awwww, I know that rain thing. Lived for years in the Midwest.....torrential 🌧 but I ❤️ storms!!! ( not the part about getting wet ☹️☹️) we lived with my grandparents for about 10 years. My grandma was my best friend. 💖💖💖. She taught me not to be afraid of them. “Kristy, the thunder is Jesus’ angels throwing the bowling ball, and the lightning are the strikes”. We would sit in front of the windows during storms so I could watch the angels bowling!!! I still love to watch the lightning. 😍😍🌩🌩🌈 We all have anxiety of one sort or another. So I 🙏 for your peace. Oh Kelly I was cracking up with your story time. 🤣 I can relate to it all. We dont have a garage so I sit in my car a lot waiting the rain out. When I finally give up and run like a chicken to get inside it either stops all together or it's just a lite sprinkle. It make me soooo mad I didnt wait 30 more seconds. Lol My girls have also spent more time with my mom than other grandchild and that is a bond they will have forever. I believe that it takes a tribe to raise a child. We are blessed to have family as our tribe. As far as your cards goes you inspire me to try new things. I need one of those EK Success writing pens. Kelly you are sooo talented. So love all your cards and this one is super cute and clever. Have just come back from Florida, experienced most unusual stormy weather, visited MFT shop in Eustis on way back heavens opened couldn't see clearly in front with that and the lorries that seemed to come from nowhere adding additional spray, scary - then as you say as quickly and torrential as is, its like tap turned off and back to sunshine.
