I had to come back and leave another comment. After watching several other crafters I have to tell you your idea of trimming the grid and then placing it back for alignment was the best idea I’ve seen so far - and one I’ll incorporate.

It was a fantastic idea. I do have to say, though for $100 you should not have had to do it. It should’ve already been done for you.

I have never been totally satisfied with my Misti’s. This new tool may be the answer for me. I’m looking at as many video’s by different crafters to hear and see what they think. Compare and contrast.

The idea of trimming down the grid in the background hence the sticky mat still adheres is golden! I saw all the card makers tout the stamp wheel when it first came out but I only see them utilise the MISTI in their videos ever since. I do own both.

Thank you! Yes, I have noticed that as well. I do see Simon Hurley use his quite often. It's hard as a content creator because you want to show people new things that you love, but you also want to show content that people are interested in and can relate to. I think there are a lot of people with a MISTI, so you will probably see a lot of creators continue to use the MISTI. Plus, the MISTI has been around for a long time and creators get comfortable with a product. I plan to use both. You will see me continue to use the MISTI for the next couple of videos though because they were filmed before I had the chance to record with the Stampwheel. 🙂

Great tip on the grid! I can't get even images, the outter inch is hard to get good transfer. I also can't really use cling/rubber stamps, there is nothing to align or anchor the paper. Any tips?
@DreamCraftCreate Жыл бұрын
Thanks! 🙂 I don't use a lot of rubber cling stamps so I had not thought about that aspect. I checked Altenew's website and they said that when using rubber cling stamps you should remove the sticky mat. I would tape the paper to the base with some low tack tape or repositionable dot runner. I'll have to give it a try myself. As far as not getting a good transfer the outer inch, I'm guessing that because it is farther out on the plate, more pressure is required to get the necessary contact with the paper. I tend to stick with using the inner part of the wheel so I haven't encountered that issue.

Eh. I think I’ll stick with my Tonic. I like that I can stamp the inside of my card, even if it’s already done on the outside. A huge plus for me. Even the Misty can’t do that!
@DreamCraftCreate10 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching. 🙂 I usually stamp the inside of the card once it’s finished with my standard sized Misti or an acrylic block.
@carolstella67769 ай бұрын
@@DreamCraftCreate I guess what I meant to say is that I like having the edge on only two sides, so the paper can hang off the other side without it needing to fit within the borders. It gives me more freedom as far as the size, even for 12x12 paper. I think it’s what you get used to.

Hmm. I can see you enjoy working with it. But you also said you wouldn't have bought it. Would you have bought it with real money after trying it out? You're not quite clear about that. Saying "if you can afford it" is not all that helpful to me. Should I get it if I can afford it or is it just something to spend my money on if I don't have any other ideas? I'd rather buy ... in that case.
