The 1st caller is a small-thinker who sounds not well studied on facts up to that point. It's clear he is accusing Malcolm X ignorantly of bombing his own residence --- even when his family was in it. It's maddening to hear Malcolm X be so misunderstood. I think racial prejudism is to blame as the root cause; but on each individual incident, the prejudism within news reporters & news agencies --- as well as likely some fear even, within people afraid to speak out in support of Malcolm X --- these would have contributed to limited and skewed info being spread about Malcolm X. Due to these people serving their own agendas, as priority over being honest and thorough in whatever they reported about Malcolm X, they controlled to some extent, how much about Malcolm X was shared, and the focus of what was shared. Thus Malcolm X was being cheated and "sold short" by these sources and by prejudism in general. They were actively responsible for EXTENDING THE TIME OVER WHICH Malcolm X has been MISunderstood and WRONGLY accused. Malcolm X has been WRONGLY called a "hater" by people who didn't bother to hear enough of his message content to know better; OR they might even be people who in fact knew better, but who were influenced by evil --- perhaps prejudiced or fearful or both. These would have an interest in trying to oppress Malcolm X, out of wanting to try to control him and try to prevent his becoming more powerful, for example. They would include selfish haters who don't want their personal comfort disturbed by change. It's a great, great TRIBUTE to Malcolm X that his colleagues, his circles and his followers who came to know him AND LOVE HIM DEEPLY, WERE UNAFRAID TO PUBLICALLY TALK ABOUT AND EDUCATE PEOPLE ABOUT THE REAL MALCOLM X WHOM THEY KNEW. Through them, some people's eyes were being opened, and also through (I'm so glad) some people who were getting the truth, and processing it more like God would have them process it. Their attitudes were being formed upon truth, and corrected by truths about Malcolm X, his beliefs and values, and the truth of what he was actually preaching and teaching. Thank God for all such supportive people, and for people who post truths like this video in support of Malcolm X. It is comforting seeing so many of his huge supporters both IN KZbin videos, and POSTING KZbin videos. In today's instant results when seeking information about a man like Malcolm X, people cannot be only fed limited info, or fed info with limited focus. If people do post inaccurate info -- whether by error or intentionally -- they cannot hope to accomplish much because of all of the accurate sources of truths out there who LOVE and RESPECT this brilliant, self-disciplined, courageous man who gave so much to his people and to humanity.

then the host asks why the fire department, press, would side w/ the NOI? clearly they're following orders....NOI/FOI was not only infiltrated by FBI, Muhammad was working with the govt like every religion or corporate org. They, the NOI and FBI, equally wanted to avoid the rise of a true Black Messiah.
@BigDaddy-il6pb

A lot of the misinformation about Malcolm at the time was the coordinated efforts of J. Edgar Hoover's FBI and its COINTELPRO, Counter Intelligence Program. Hoover said that his goal was "to prevent the rise of a Black Messiah."...and one of the ways they weakened Black Civil Rights organizations was by infiltrating them to cause international dissention. They did this with the NOI, Black Panthers, etc. The FBI wiretapped and spied on MLK and many other humans rights advocates. They were effective in getting some of these leaders like MLK & Malcolm assassinated.

In last few months I've uncovered so many great speeches, documentaries and interviews about him on youtube. I find him to be so inspirational. Almost everyday I listen to a speech or interview.

I continue to be blown away with how intelligent Malcolm was. Even when dealing with aggressive idiots, he was so intelligent and always knew what to say. Also, he never let anyone put words in his mouth that he never said or didn't feel. He used facts, reason, and common sense. Debate skills like no other. I loved the way he said "Dr. Hall" at 1:06:24 as a sort of taunt (knowing he wasn't a doctor and the guy having to admit he wasn't one), and Malcolm replies "Oh, well you sound like an expert on something I thought you were a doctor". LOL! That fake expert kept trying to belittle Malcolm and it was getting old. Man, Malcolm was honestly too good for this world. R.I.P.

Thanks for the upload my brother, this is truly amazing. This interview was held just 3 days before Malcolm X was assassinated. This was one hell of an interview. All Gordon was trying is to attack, discredit, belittle, and underestimate all the accomplishments of Malcolm X and making personal attacks (ad hominem) against Malcolm instead of having an adult, intellectualized conversation. RIP Malcolm X, May Allah gather us in heaven.

Interesting, it seems like almost every single time Malcolm is making the most profound and truthful statements the interviewer goes to a commercial. All Brother Malcolm was seeking was a piece of the action for his People, for them to be included in the American Dream and to cease being continually subjugated to the American Nightmare.

American dream? It was bigger than civil rights...he knew it was about human rights. The UN made sure he would understand this when they refused to help blacks in the US until they dropped the term "civil"and adopted the term, "human" to their complaints.

I’m learning so much from Malcolm X. He truly embodies what a hero is. Battling ignorant people on all fronts and having the courage to put his life on the line for amazing ideals that we should all strive to achieve. This is what an American Hero looks like. I’m so glad he existed and I will use his lessons as ammunition for any family dinner, work, or leisure conversation that may involve political and/or social ideals.

Thuon Jambaka Nyakwar Anuro BarDavid Taxo Dysmas I embarked a few months ago to learn about Malcolm X and quickly grew to love and respect him. To my utter amazement, I learned the locations of his childhood homes' and some significant experiences he endured then and after, included my birth state & city, and nearby areas. While their house was burned down in my city, they rebuilt in a nearby area. When Malcolm's Mother went into a sanitarium, he was placed in foster care. In the nearby area school Malcolm came to be liked, & his worth was recognized when he was elected president of his class. He had sad and devastating events occur in my area too --- that house burned by an extremist group; his Mother going away; his Father's death; & more. I am a believer and would like to point out that he still went astray as a teen and young adult. What helped him away from a failed life was his spiritual orientation and desire to please God. Many people seek God later (it's never too late). He certainly was gifted with abilities and I admire his intellect and discipline; but I suggest his seeking, finding and following God are what sharpened him to be his best. God often has even taken the lowly and placed them in positions of leadership. I say these things for 3 reasons that I'm aware of, including 1) my wanting to openly acknowledge God's power and give Him the glory for Malcolm's transformation; 2) encourage others to begin to see and realize these connections which Malcolm pointed to all the time; and 3) encourage others to seek, learn from and follow God. He can help us make all the best decisions.

It always puzzles me when I see people claim Malcolm X was a communist or even a socialist in articles or forums. He so obviously wasn’t. Most of the people who claim he was are actually communists, Marxists, and socialists themselves and want to claim him, but they shouldn’t project their views onto him and claim they know what direction he would have gone in. Only he knew that, and right here, he quite clearly denied being communist or socialist and this was 3 days before his death. There was also an interview of his I read from the last week of his death where he spoke of communism as “dangerous.” He liked some communist and socialist people but he liked some capitalists and conservatives too. He cared about human rights and black liberation. He didn’t care what someone’s political ideology or race was so long as they cared about those things too.

Malcolm , even three days before his Martyrdom , demanding human rights for the people , not begging but demanding . If price of grocery is more than that in downtown, and the rent is more in Harlem , than in down town people get incited to do something . Govt does not does anything. That incites the people. Even three days before leaving this world , still standing up for the human rights of those who were deprived their God given human rights. NO Wonder Malcolm is still stays alive even after 50 yrs + , he shall still stay alive 100 yrs after his day of Martyrdom. He comes to life each time something is heard or read of him or about him. Malcolm 's was the second Crucifixion. Malcolm gave up his life so his people can get a life. Malcolm did not wait for Jesus to come back as the Muslims and Christians think , he became Jesus Like. He lived Christlike. That is how we all need to be Christlike. Freedom , Justice and equality is Islam. Their is no waiting period in Islam to be considered a brother in the Universal brotherhood of Man. To tell the truth the sons of two Christian PREACHERS : Elijah Phoole ( Elijah Mohammad) , and Malcolm Little ( Malcolm Shabazz) they both became Muslim Preachers and revolutionized the whole of America. They were both such dedicated workers and lovers of their race , and interested in obtaining human rights , that the authorities were threatened by the Mighty Duo , they created a deliberate rift between the two by lies and infiltration and by every means possible . Ultimately they both were successful in removing the mistreatment of human beings. Human beings were not even considered human beings , let alone being treated as second class citizens. In a short period of time they along with many other stalwarts : Adam Clayton Powel, Dr King, Mohammad Ali etc etc. Did Reform and removed the EVIL that was prevalent for hundreds of years . Not a small accomplishment. However we still need the Elijah Mohammad's , the Malcolm's , and Dr King 's to stop the violence and killing of blacks by blacks. There is so much to be done . There are once again systemic problems that need to be removed. Both in the Black community and the Authorities. For eg: if the inner city Schools does not lets the youth get trade education, then the youth is deprived differentially , just like the water for the whites and blacks, the suburban kids get educated in trades all kinds , during high school, nursing education , cabinetry , electrician . plumbing, computers you name it. That kind of education is not given to the inner city High schools black or white , but it is mostly black kids who are being deprived of such opportunities. That needs to change for the better. Equality in education and job opportunity needs to be worked on . I think that will remove the violence from the inner city and drug related crimes will get wiped out too , from both black and white kids. Losing one kid to drugs , be it black or white is a BIG loss. There should be no such loss of our kids. I hope we do see some preachers or preachers sons take on this problem and resolve too. May God forgive the mistakes of all of us and help us lead lives that are Christlike. ( For both Muslims and Christians)

Malcom's Raw, and Naked truth is what Immensely Respect and Admire him for, and for sharply reforming his life from a serious criminal to a Moral Man. No matter what he said correct or not, it came from a sincere genuine belief of Human Rights for all. THIS was the time to state without apology or hesitation that it was time to take up arms and defeat the enemy by any means necessary but Malcolm was an honest honorable man and he wanted the general public to know that his own Muslim organization bombed his home. He was naive to think white progressives would rally behind him or that his loyal comrades would present an unmovable force that would do the right thing, take the right action, and get someone somewhere to protect him. Where was Civil Rights? Where was the so-called black organizations like NAACP or SNCC or black Christian preachers? Where was the FBI (rhetorical, facetious, ridiculous)? Where were the black congressmen? Or other white "brotherly" Muslims? Thank goodness for black journalists! Black journalists gave Malcolm X a voice, a venue, a sense of peace to a degree. Malcolm's best bet in this very dire scenario was to keep a low profile and to keep still, not to continue to "spill the beans". Nikki Giovanni recognized the fault of his choice years ago and said so.

He doesn't sound "black" either -- at least, not here (it was easier to tell just from speech that he was black when in the NOI than after Mecca). People should not strive to sound "white" or "black." They should strive to speak proper English. Malcolm X sounded intelligent and used correct grammar. He sounded like a well educated human being. He had a bit of Caribbean American influence in his way of speaking. By the way, I have heard people say that they felt he "sounded white", actually.

@theresamahfouz790
@theresamahfouz790 6 жыл бұрын
@@vegastribeofjudah2083 I maintain that he sounded like a highly intelligent human being. And I personally don't think people should be striving to sound black or white. Brother Malcolm said in January 1965, "When we begin to think of ourselves not as black, white, or Asian, but as human beings, then this can be a world for everyone and we can begin to live together in peace." Why purposely try to sound black or white? We should aim to be the best we can be and to be ourselves, and although our races are important to our identities, there are far more important aspects of who we are than our race, and as a devoted orthodox Muslim, Malcolm X knew this.

Always remember brothers and sisters we are are all created equally through conception and we will also be equally judged. No man has a right to pass judgment on man in the name of God only service and how we serve is part of how we are judged. Listening to this the 1st few times I reacted like everyone in the comments, but after awhile i started to really listen. The two people, barnette and hall, were right in what they were saying. malcolm is smooth as fuck and eloquent and a quick thinker, but they are ultimately correct. the noi was an extremist organization, hyped up by the press partly due to malcolm himself, his eloquence and poise and intelligence are undeniably attractive. ultimately this violent organization killed malcolm because he started to expose the truth about the organization, betrayal in any extremist organization being the worse sin, even worse than the thing that caused you to be an extremist (backed up by the current sayings of farakhan). malcom spent a number of years helping this fraud organization grow. to his credit his morality forced him to speak out. it takes a man of great character to be able to publicly admit he was wrong. You can tell Malcolm needed guidance after his leaving noi. i wish he could have mended fences with king and they joined up, or he left the organization without exposing muhammad, that way he would have lived long enough to build real power instead of oratoric power.
