Yes sir you got it. It is a cover but his intention with the lyrics. I personally think he's talking about the walls between color. Stan is a strong patriotic indigenous person who represents the Maori people of Aotearoa (Maori name for New Zealand. Maori are the indigenous people of Aotearoa. Side note your very and your smile is priceless. Please watch more Stan Walker videos because this song is just the tip of a beautiful musical iceberg that won't sink you, it'll float you to heaven.
