This kind of content is gold. It's not vague or abstract, it's working towards sharp focused goals. Feels like the project is about to shift out of the build phase and into the R&D phase, which will also be mad to follow. You can really tell your workshop has enough toilets to support a max effort build.

I recently found your Ferrari build playlist and without spoilering myself for the finished product I bingewatched the whole 30-something hours throu your whole build. I really have to say that the build and video quality and all the thoughtfulness that goes into this project is outstanding. Thank you for letting us being part of this.

Hey Mike, Fuel cells should be an open vent (no inline check) because when the fuel warms it will expand and it will pressurize your fuel cell if it cant vent out to atmosphere. Also, those tire pressure sensors tend to give out erroneous values when your wheels and brakes are scorching hot...(from experience). So just a heads up there.

Might want to think about how your going to bleed those pressure sensors. Also fuel cell breathes in (fuel pump creating vacuum) and out (expansion from heat), so better to use a rollover valve.

Hey Mike, today I received my StanceWorks T-Shirt. I really like the look. It's the most expensive shirt I ever bought 😂 $27 shipping to Germany and additional customs fee of 14€ at delivery. But whatever, I'm happy, because StanceWorks was the reason why I modified my first BMW which I bought in 2007 and still have it.

I am sure you will, but make sure there is an "off" label with an arrow on the kill switches - even if its not required under the regs. Also make sure there is at least one spare red toggle in the car. Cable tie the thing somewhere... I speak from experience!

A thought for future lighting that would look super clean... Fabricate/3d print a modified front bumper bar that incorporates a slim led bar in the centre between signals/marker lights. Hella makes the Black Magic slim bar in 20" and 32" iirc. Might be tricky to fab, but would add many lumens. Would look sick too, imo. One of the best car projects on the internet, keep up the amazing work!

Hey, I noticed that when you mocked up the thermocouples on the manifold, that the cables coming out of the stainless sheath come very close to the manifold. We didn't get to see the final setup in the car because you hid the sensors so well, but the cables might not be able to deal with that heat. Kind regards from the Netherlands!

Something to consider with the fuel vent line - not sure how it is on cars, but on aircraft our fuel vents let air in as to not cause a vacuum AND let air and fuel out in case the fuel expands from an increase in temperature.

For tow hooks, I often make my own and use a engine enamel on them, and then I use a polymer cover (can be found on various tools, I found mine on a gardening spade) that hides the red on the road. I just slip the covers off before hitting the track 😉 (i used to have the nylon style too, but I got tired of hearing them slap around on the highway)

Coming together nicely! One of the thermal couples looked like it bent back towards the manifold because of the 90 degree bend. It might be worth seeing if you can source a straight one for that position? Hubs are a great upgrade. They’ll be under a huge amount of stress. I think the fuel tank vent position will need to move? Any point below the car is probably what they’re looking for but I’m not 100% on that. Looking forward to the cage build.

Love your builds, and video quality is soooo good. Gonna be exiting to see this on the track. You should look more in to this fueltank breather. It should always be headed upwards, so there wouldn’t be these loops or even slight turns facing down in the line. It will trap fuel in and block the ventilation, presure in the tank will rise and start spraying fuel out of the filter in bursts

Hope this comes in on time: forget the dtm swaybar. Try looking into the Citroen Xsara WRC. In essence it's a hydraulicly operated system as found on land cruisers and such. The trick is that the front left en rear right are linked together for way better control. The system itself saves alot of weight and it has more compliance then a regular swaybar. In essence it became outlawed in WRC once they found out: The car had decimated the competition beforehand.
