Stan, I’ve checked out everything according to your video. I’m not getting power to the resistor. Others have worked on it before me. fuses check out but the two relays that look the same are in backwards from what your video shows. Digits on the opposite end. Can’t imagine that being the issue. Any ideas?

Because it vibrates a little on the side of the blower, I put a new one on but it shakes a little.

What if my trunk doesn’t work either? Could it be the black fuse?
@slydwaysdrifter21596 ай бұрын
For those plastic rivets on the resister, I decided to use a Dremel tool with a burr bit. Just grind off the top of the rivet and then breaking things would be less of a risk. My issue is that our Impala had the blower on constantly with the key out of the ignition. It would never shut off. After a resistor change it now “works” and shuts off correctly, but now there’s only low speed, and the fan adjustment knob doesn’t change speeds. 🤬

Hey Stan! So my air stopped working couple days ago…replaced some antifreeze in reservoir and drove for a bit. Now the fan seems to randomly kick on and off (when on the heat still works great!) any idea if you think it’s maybe a fuse? Or the fan resistor? I know the fan and temperature are still working fine when they kick on, but GETTING it to kick on in first place seems to be the problem?

Yeah I think so. The fuse that controls the blower motor should actually be the BAT4 fuse. 30 amp

I was hoping to get by with just replacing the motor and not the resistor, but it wasn't meant to be! But at least I got it fixed and got everything working again like it should. And I saved money doing it myself. Glad you were able to get your parts for a reasonable price. Amazon's great!
