SALTxTHExWOUND what's the best way to learn brake control so you don't loop lol
@DarukoJP7 жыл бұрын
Has any of your bikes shut off on you for doing stand ups a lot? (Oil being sucked up thru ur manifold) not sure if gsxr’s have the issue but a lot of stunt riders do clean air mods so that issue doesn’t happen.
@SALTxTHExWOUND7 жыл бұрын
Bubba Guy I’ll try to do a video on this soon, but basically I intentionally stop or slow down the wheelie from time to time to stay familiar with rear brake control
@SALTxTHExWOUND7 жыл бұрын
Zuki750R I’ve never even seen the oil light on my bike come on from a wheelie but I’ve heard certain bikes do that like the R1 and R6. Maybe if you were stunting doing wheelies for minutes on end but for a 1-2 mile wheelie I don’t feel it’s necessary

Sit down look better because it's the natural way to ride the bike, you don't ride standing up.

I find it extremely difficult to use the rear brake while in a wheelie. I never use the rear brake, but I need to start doing it, if I want to ride longer wheelies. Soon as the bike comes up, I go for the rear brake, and I find myself playing footsies with the brake pedal. I can't seem to get my foot positioned at the right angle to hit the pedal.

Random question. What pressure do you run in your rear tire? What is too low? I think I'm somewhere between 10-15 and seems to help smooth it out. Want to maybe drop even further for a little more stability but don't want to loose a tire either.

@NK-yv5oi7 жыл бұрын
Hey, 1st of all great video's bro! I'm currently thinking about buying my 2nd bike and it's either going to be a 600 or 750 but recently I've noticed that a-lot of manufacturers especially Honda have ABS on their brakes since 2009. As you are a proud owner of a 750 gsxr which doesn't come with abs as Suzuki only offer ABS in 1000cc would you personally recommend another person who is currently looking for a 600-750cc bike to go for the ABS as a street rider just for the added security or it's something you don't have much opinion on? Would love to hear from your personal experience and thoughts on this. Thanks & keep up the great video's!
@SALTxTHExWOUND7 жыл бұрын
R P honestly I don’t see much use for ABS and all the fancy tech just for street riding. I chose the 750 bc it’s basic and powerful, that’s all you need in my opinion. 👍🏻

Haven’t tried to many stand up yet but want to ask if you can make videos on how to maybe shift when doing sit downs? I can ride out 2nd gear and sometimes hit balance point but struggling on shifting it to 3rd. Maybe I should just learn stand up first and later work on shifting? What’s your advice?
@SALTxTHExWOUND7 жыл бұрын
brandon ong the few times I’ve had “oh shit” moments while wheeling was shifting because you have to get up past balance point to shift, and then you’ll be going faster and have less engine braking the higher the gear you go. I’d personally suggest learning 3rd gear stand ups first 👍🏻
@brandonong20457 жыл бұрын
SALTxTHExWOUND thanks bro. Sounds like a plan. Have to have goals and I think stand up is next. Someday bro be doing stand up next to any stunter!! 💪👍

What type of bike did you learn to wheelie on ?
@epicon62 жыл бұрын
1:42 sit downs are easier because the center of gravity is lower. When i was learning wheelies on a bicycle i first had the seat way too high but once someone told me to lower the seat it was suddenly way easier to wheelie. Bicycle wheelies have different physics though because of the difference in the speed, power input and wind resistance 😂

4th? On my '18 GSXR1K can be done in 5th. Just cruise in 5th around 5krpm, pull in the clutch wind it up to 12k and release the clutch. Just takes some practice to wind it up that high.

I have a 2006 Gsxr 750, simple mods stock sprockets, 1st gear super easy to sit down wheelie. The bike will also come up easy in 2nd gear staggered stand ups but still to afraid to bring it up too high still. Anyways ha 2nd gear sit downs are a joke. The bike will come up like a foot and nothing higher, im sitting all the way back and easily dropping clutch at 10k and 40mph. Whenever i do i just cant sit down 2nd gear. Any tips?
@michaelruegg2092 жыл бұрын
It's all in the technique, how much clutch/throttle etc. On my gsxr600, 2nd fear sit downs I dump the clutch at 12k+ rpm's. Another thing is, when dumping the clutch, I've found that you have to continue giving it throttle after dumping the clutch to continue bringing the front end up higher.
@michaelruegg2092 жыл бұрын
It just takes practice and time, and progressively giving more throttle until you find that sweet spot. Also, depends on your speed. I prefer 2nd gear 30-40 mph.

@screennamenottaken26 жыл бұрын
I think that depends on who you ask. I’ve only been riding for a little over a year and got a 2008 GSX650F for my first bike and love it. That bike compared to its Kawi counterpart (Ninja 650) I would take my bike any day with its inline 4 engine, its sound, and it’s a little beefier. However if comparing other bikes in their line ups like a gixxer 750 or 1000 to a zx10r or especially an H2 I may lean toward Kawasaki. That’s just speculation though and I think to really know it comes down to individual preferences and riding each one.
