I hope he means power delivery. An inline four R6 delivers it's power and torque in almost the same spots throughout the rev range as an inline four R1, however with the R1 there is just more power and torque in those same spots. If that makes sense.

I would have to disagree. 1. I started on a 600. 2010 Yamaha R6 was my first bike. It's been a delight. Though it is true that I am a speed junkie, I have been responsible in my preparations towards becoming a Supersport rider. About a year before i bought a bike I watched many youtube videos on "HOW TOO"s and "TIPS". Watching so many people helped make up my mind on exactly what i wanted. There were so many people saying different things. So, i came up with my own conclusion. Its all about your mindset. If you want to prepare and be able to take on the responsibility of a 600 or 1000 then you have to start wayy before you even buy one. But knowing what you want first and preparing for it is much smarter than going out and getting something thats too "much" for you. don't be dumb. Make smart decisions. go full throttle when there's little to no traffic. remember, you aren't the only one on the road all the time.

Because unless you have no fear or losing your license or your life then it is imo very hard to have fun on a liter bike on public roads unless you just want to do top speed runs in the desert. I had an ‘06 gsxr600 and recently got an ‘06 gsxr1000... The 1000 has noticeably more midrange yet doesn’t feel as light through corners. I don’t have a preference since each bike requires different riding styles. I enjoy the 600 in the streets. The 1000 feels better on long highway rides since rpm’s sit lower and bike feels less vibrant. The 600 felt a lot safer for sure altogether.

The gzxr 600, the R6, the cbr-600, and the Ninja 600 all fall into the category. Those bikes all come in 1000cc variants as well, which would be larger, heavier, and more powerful than their 600cc counterparts

I'm 26 now and only upgraded to riding an R1 2 years ago , the biggest thing about starting on a supersport is respect and knowing your limits and resisting the urge of all that power that's there at just a small turn of your wrist. My advice to anyone starting on a supersport is take it slow and if you want to push it do it on the track in full gear instead of on the street. It's all about the risers mindset , a idiot on a 600 is going to be an idiot on a 250 - 300 the only difference will just be the speed he wipes out or crashes at.

Paused at 3:06 you summed up the excitement of the video right there. Reason being that outside of the new design and a few new parts that bike has the same exact motor at the previous models. So, to the viewers, if you cant afford the 2017 model get an older one they are exactly the same as far as power. Also, a lot of the points made could be negated if you just get a 636.

Same when I bought a 250 I kept it for a year and sold it for $500 profit when I wanted to upgrade. Had an R6 for a while now🙏

I'm saving up for a bike next year. This is going to be my first ever bike after I get my license for it first. I'm gonna start off with a 600.

I've ridden dirt bikes my whole life. started off on a 450f when I was 10. power is not the dangerous part I've ridden 600s too and they're just way to small for me so that's why I got a zx14r as my first street motorcycle 5 years ago

I would say sv650 is perfect bike for starter, my friend bought a brand new r3 and I got a sv650 used,he got tired of the power already when my sv650 still pulls and I just purchased a used Yamaha r6 after 12k rpm that thing is a beast!!!

I've had an R6 for about a year - it was fun to ride for short periods of time but the riding position was killing me, extremely uncomfortable. but that's just me. All sport bikes are like that.

I started out on an old Scrambler 125 then moved up to a CB400 then got a SV650 curvy. Have been driving the SV so more than a year now and is still really nice tbh. Heavy on juice though

So the term Liter and CC, is that how much milk the engine will hold? By the way, you're wrong Motonosity. You can start off on a 600 or 1000, I started on the Enterprise.

Should you be riding when you are so tired ....?

The R6 power band would be terrible for a new rider since it kicks like vtec up top, however I don't see a cbr 600rr being unmanageable for a new rider, thoughts ?

Purchased a liter as my first bike. lol. A s1krr a day after I got my getting my license. And reason was because I love speed. Right on point.

A lot of 600s have power modes too so if you put it in its lowest power mode then it will have only slightly more power than a 300, so in reality starting on a 600 wouldnt be a bad idea. And you wouldnt have to get another bike and get used to a new bike again

Started on GSXR 1000 and the mode really helped me alot. It's like I'm riding on 600

been riding since 1990's have just had a 10 year period without a bike and im back on a restricted 650 limited to about 50 horses and if anyone is considering riding a 600 sports bike as a first bike your nuts could i handle more sure but i also know it will take a good year before i should get up in the class bike i really want to be in so a cheep one to warm up for 12 months good thinking plenty of grunt on a smaller bike for the first year to warm up

He is driving in my neck of the woods. Central Texas, Austin-Metroplex, Williamson County Texas. Good place to live, but the property taxes are crazy high, they are killing me.

Hey Motonosity. Great videos man ! I am planning on getting a used bike under $4000. I have experience riding 500cc cafe riders but never rode a super bike. Can you suggest a few bike options, please?

Is 1000 or 4 in line? Size matters better handling? 4x50cc are equal to 250cc? Do you care? Have you tried dry clutches? Is it oil or the last litre? Taxes? It's steel, it's steril.

I started on a 2007 cbr600rr please understand people ride within your limit I’m 6’4 227 lbs you can start on a 600 with dirt bike experience I had a kx450 for 2 years just don’t be a squid until you truly understand the power of the bike don’t let any tell you to intimidate you. be confident enough and smart about it my honest opinion from personal experience I had my cbr for 6 months just bought my 08 zx10r doing just fine and I don’t ride for speed but I will get her up time to time on clear straight

I started on a cbr 900. Been riding for 15 years. I can't decide on a new r1 or r6. I'm 5ft 7inches so I'd have to get the seat lowered on the r1. Also the price difference.. idk I can't decide.
