I like the deadhead moves as much as anything. Love the crossing with all the greenery and the street running is extraordinery. If you ever get video of that cute little Heisler in Freeport I would sorely love to see it. The shot of the train on the bridge with the moon behind it gave me goosebumps and the night shots are phenomenal. First rate video, enjoed it immensely. The DPU was frosting on the cake, thanks man!

Thanks, @ Poowg2657! The moon and bridge outside of Freeport were gorgeous! I usually chase down the next spot for video anymore, but having a half hour to wait on 338 before they moved really evoked some good memories of railfanning in bygone days.

Great video. I think this may be the first time I’ve seen a slave unit in Rockford. Uncommon here, right? Very common as you know on their mainline though Wisconsin.

Thanks, @adipocere1066! They'll distribute motors on M338 several times each week. It's quite uncommon to see power distributed on westbound moves, however. I've only seen it once on an X337 in the video linked below and reported one other time. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p2XOiWBmnrqVbs0

@@NormProbably Norm, do CN trains generally follow a reliable schedule? For example, M338- when does it usually show up at Mulford crossing?
@NormProbably Жыл бұрын
So sorry, I just saw this comment, @@adipocere1066! They are generally reliable. M337 typically arrives in Rockford between 3 and 6 PM, but nearer 4 - 5 PM and M338 is generally between 7 - 10 PM but nearer 8 - 9 PM.

Where exactly is the street running section
@NormProbably7 ай бұрын
It's on the east side of the Rock River along North Madison between Prairie St. Brewing and the YMCA.
