why QC materials could not be used as calibrators although they contain all matrix that found in patient sample and with known concentrations??

Calibrator and QC should be different Only then can you assess your own lab and its equipment’s and check accuracy Calibrator is used to calibrate, or adjust a measurement procedure. A control is used to monitor an analysis performance

Calibrators and Controls ensure reliability and consistency of test results and the analysis system Both cannot be used interchangeably as both have different roles If we use the same material as control and calibrator , it will not solve the purpose of checking the complete analysis system including reagents, equipment and procedures

Daily QC checks the precision of measurements and help identify any deviations or inconsistencies in the analysis procedures .
