1:16 This is not true (or maybe no longer true, but I don't know that). I wanted to go for all 6 HLs but IB only lets you do 4 HL. It says it in the ibo website.

Hello, I’m picking a final decision for what my subjects for the IB will be for my first year. Which one do you recommend; 1. English A Literature SL 2. Mandarin B HL 3. Economics HL 4. Biology SL 5. Have a look at the university requirements for the particular course you'd like to study, they'll have a complete breakdown of the subjects you need to take! If you don't need Math HL, I'd definitely recommend taking Business HL instead because math is a lot of extra work!

I’d probably say math or chemistry is the hardest but biology is definitely the most time consuming!

It's quite tricky with US universities because they don't have exact requirements! Pick subjects you think will be related to the course (ie. for engineering you'll need Physics and Math!) or look at the UK equivalent of the course to find the subject requirements.

Depends on your coordinator but some people online claim they took 8 HLs this year so it does seems possible. If you want my opinion however, it’s not worth the extra time that you’ll need to put into it!!
