Exactly! They could litterly turn Tom Sawyer Island into "Down On The Bayou" with Tiana's restaurant overlooking the water, some shops, snack areas, and even another small dark ride directly across from the new Princess And The Frog overlay of Splash Mountain!

Because they want guests to make a special trip to French Quarter. That’s where you can experience Marti Gras and get her beignets. …at least until they replaced them with Mickey shaped ones.

@@UmmYeahOk My family makes it a point to go there by boat ride from Disney Springs every trip for those very reasons! We love the atmosphere at French Quarter and we especially love the beignets!

There was supposed to be a Tiana's restaurant at Reflections, but that construction was halted because of the pandemic.

We stayed at POP and they are so similar. This is prettier, but you don’t get hardly any perks for the hundreds more you would pay?

These new rooms look so sterile and just so plain now, like any other normal hotel room you could stay in for half the price! They litterly removed all the magic that made these rooms so special to stay in.

I sort of agree with you except this particular room is located in the “Antebellum” style buildings of Riverside, so this more plain and formal decor does fit. But yes, it could be better with a moire stylish wall treatment like wainscoting or crown molding…..something!

Overall I like Port Orleans French Quarter better. It is I believe the smallest resort and just has a great atmosphere. One advantage when we stayed there (2014) was that the resort buses stopped there first before going over to Riverside so they were always empty. French Quarter has a single bus stop while Riverside had 3, and if you are at the last stop good luck finding room! Also at the time French Quarter food court area had fresh made beignets and wonderful Creole dishes. The disadvantage was that the rooms are tight as is the one shown in this video.

WDW News. The new room with all the white looks a bit sterile and it could do with a few small additions. But no need to go over the top. The wall painting of the "Mark Twain celebration for Mardi Gra." Was on the wall at the Disney Gallery in New Orleans Square, DisneyLand. It was here I purchased my print of this piece of artwork. Nice to see it being displayed again. It's too good be hidden away. Cheers, Chris Perry.

The room needs more artwork just not on shower curtains as it really cheapens the feel. Plantation style shutter barn doors would have looked nicer and shower doors are a must! The color palette is pleasant though. Maybe they should put the landscapers in charge of interior design as they really seem to know what they are doing, as the grounds are stunning.

I love these rooms. Not to busy while still having theming. I know I am a bit more into the minimal clean look than Tom haha. Or what people are calling plain…to me is clean and relaxing. Love this resort.

I love the curtain with Tiana and Naveen on it between the bathroom and the rest of the room Honestly I would like to have that in the bathroom where I live it looks so pretty and the Princess and the frog is one of my favorite movies
