Link is in need of bombs to fight Ganon, so he attempts to purchase them from Morshu, Koridai's only supplier. However, Link is low on rubies, and Morshu demands payment, and refuses to give credit, despite the severity of the situation. In an act of desperation, Link tries to attack Morshu and take the bombs by force, but he finds himself unable to harm the shopkeep. Morshu reveals that this is because of his 'nanorubies', which make him immune to Link's attacks. Link and Morshu then contemplate their situation, considering how they are both similarly willing to go to extremes to get what they want (Link attacking Morshu to get the bombs, and Morshu refusing to give them up despite the looming threat to Koridai), and believe they may have something in common there. Gwonam arrives, and attempts to persuade Morshu to give Link credit, pointing out that Ganon has conquered Koridai and many people have died already, and Link is the only hope to stop him. Morshu, however, denies responsibility for any of this. Then, considering how the so-called 'heroes' have been treating him, Morshu contemplates switching sides and joining Ganon. Ganon overhears this and is elated, as Morshu's riches and great stockpiles of items would be a huge boon to his rule. Link realizes that if this happens, Morshu and Ganon together will be unbeatable, so, in a last-ditch effort, he uses Morshu's own bombs against him, preventing the alliance and blowing the shopkeep to Kingdom Come. Unfortunately, he used up all of Morshu's bombs in this attack, so he has no more with which to fight Ganon.
