BlackBullRising, I looked it up. They are. But I get your reaction. The thing is if people make immigrant jokes it’s probably not for cheap laughs. It’s probably because it was a defining element in their life. Maybe it wasn’t for her. I have immigrant perants. First generation here. It has a lot to do with how I was raised and that in turn has a lot to do with who I am. If I were a comedian, I’d probably talk about it. She doesn’t. OK. And what?

In the same way, if I slapped my name on a Harry Potter book, the book would still be as good, but nobody would assume I'm so clever and imaginative. Maybe when Amy Schumer writes a joke, I can find out if she is funny but as of right now? Nope.

Do you see what she did here? She is taking an everyday life experience for women and making it palatable for men. It is an attempt to get males to see with humour, the reality of women. As usual, it's funny, because it's true.

This really threw me off in a refreshing way, i live in La where all our indian people sound indian even the ones born here sound indian a lot of the time (which is really awesome because they say the funniest sassiest shit) or they just sound like valley girls, but her routine was so fresh and i kept expecting her to say "oh dont ja know" with what im guessing is a Wisconsin or Minnesota accent i felt so calm and peaceful. Man i love accents so much they are able to convey so many ranges of emotion its beautiful (voice acting is one of my passions so i actually do appreciate voices a lot) they bring people together no matter where your parents came from its a little stamp of where you grew up just a little piece of home
