My little brother used to have an imaginary friend but one day he said his friend (I don't remember his name) was mad at us (I think we making fun of my little brother or his friend) and then almost immediately the tv went to static and the light went out. It was the middle of the day so it wasn't even dark, but that didn't stop us from freaking out, thinking "It's a jinn!!" I was the first one to haul ass out of there. 😂 I really wasn't tryna die.

I agree, society wonders why our youth don't become anything important. How could you when your own mother refuses to inspire you or just allow you to think beyond the masses...

It truly is a shame. They think they're doing the child a favor, but in reality they're setting them back.
@kobesimpson29716 жыл бұрын
I’m black and I agree, however usually in the black community kids are forced to grow up much quicker, while in the white community kids can afford to stay childish for longer
@wishbone3466 жыл бұрын
@@kobesimpson2971 True, but telling a child they're stupid or berating them for expressing creativity is never the answer. As adults we should find ways to foster creativity and growth in positive ways. Growing up and becoming responsible don't necessarily require someone to give up creativity and all innocence. I realize Chris Rock's "story" was played up for comedic effect, but I have witnessed families, both white, black, and Hispanic exhibiting such behavior, and it can really cause a child to lose all interest in even trying to express themselves. The really sad part it that by doing this it almost ensures the child will underachieve as creativity is key in pretty much any career field.
