Thanks for demonstrating the thickness and tip design parameters of both wings. It's a useful comparison well explained.

I prone surf every day in 6" waves to 6' and the 1250 just performs. It carves hard, it pumps very easily, but it is SLOW. You kinda need to be in the right spot of the wave to make certain sections. On a HA925/725, I can take off way behind and just use sheer speed to make any section I want. My complaints with the 925 is that it isn't forgiving at all. You need solid technique. You need perfect pumps. You need high speed. The 1250 will let me miss a pump, or pump way too hard or too much of an angle and it just goes.

Thanks for watching and the interesting feedback on the other foils. The 925 is indeed fast...and I have not worked my way down to the 725. Not sure if I ever will.

Thanks for the review. I am wondering what shim you used with the MA1225. I just got one, , hoping this is will be the go-to wing that everyone seems to love. and have tried it with some mixed results - only one day so far. I am coming down from a 1550V1. I am 75kg, using 85L Naish Carbon Ultra board, 85Mast, 60 v1 fuse, 205 tail (tried with red shim -combined with 0 titanium shim) so far). I am pretty comfortable with the 1550, starting, gybing, basic riding, some small swell. I was experiencing a lot of porpoising when I first tried with mast forward. I now have the mast almost all the way back and it feels better, but still feels really pitchy. Any thought or advice is appreciated. Cheers

Thanks for watching. I weigh just about the same like you. I guarantee you when you get better you only use the 1225. I haven’t touched the 1550 in a very long time. The 1225 is very stabile and forgiving. I often ride the HA1125 and that a complete different animal. I been riding a red shim and to this day I have not exactly figured them out.

@StandUpMagazin yeah man, I can definitely feel the potential of the 1225. I'll keep working on it and hopefully find the groove. I also have an HA1125 and yes it is different...feels kinda tricky for me, but have not spent a proper amount of time on it yet either. But I am already certain from the short time I've winged with it that the 1225 will fit my riding style much better. Cheers and Aloha

@@robertovillate for sure. I personally mostly like the HA1125 paired with the short fuse and the V tail. When ridding bumps I switch to longer fuse for better glide. That one is so fast and has great upwind performance.

how does the MA compares to the HA ? (I struggle with the HA at the moment)
@StandUpMagazin Жыл бұрын
Good question I been riding the HA 1125 quite a bit with the short fuse. The MA starts easier for sure and is faster.

Aloha thanks for watching. I don’t exactly know but can imagine the 1450 would be faster and better performance.
