Is there an equivalent job men can do that would create this same category? One that implies a parental failing, but bc of his willingness to do it. Like, is there an occupation that pays really well, and gives men autonomy in their work and their income, yet even financial success in that field is considered downward social/class mobility? Is it really just giving power to women that is the faux pas? Man, is it really just roles that women traditionally occupy? Nurse/teacher/nanny/dancer? HR? Secretary? Stay at home parent? Ahhh how are we still so misogynistic? It’s fucked bc I don’t disagree, we collectively ostracize people that provide a willing, enthusiastic and competent service in high demand from their gender roles by the opposite gender. Women constantly complain that men don’t do enough of the caregiving, childcare, nurturing and household responsibilities and men are constantly complaining that women aren’t interested enough in sex, or being sexy, or being sexualized. It’s like you have to begrudgingly and clumsily do the thing that they’re always being asked to do, bc if you like to do it and you do it well, it’s shameful. wtf patriarchy is so dumb

This is quickly becoming my favorite stand up show. I was a big kill Tony fan because of Watkins, I really enjoyed the characters and his interruptions.

I've been watching since he started years ago. I'm so happy he finally made it a regular thing. Used to only happen at random festivals, and I'm glad they let him experiment at places like that where there were so many top comedians around. If you haven't seen those, definitely go check them out. Todd Miller is on one of them and it's hilarious.

Jeremiah was really laid back tonight, he stayed so calm and mellow even though half of it was completely unhinged. Trevor Wallace was like a plate of fries during a night of binge drinking, he did such a great job and made me laugh so much. Yamaneika is always amazing. Everybody showed up and did the damn thing tonight, great job to everyone- but yamaneika and trevor were definitely the anchors that made it a comedy show

Jeremiah i love this platform Stand up on the spot, its pure genius!..but you may want to be more strict on the comedians... They are supposed to make jokes using the suggestions.. but more and more i see that comedians either stray from the topic or just give their opinion about the suggestion with no actual jokes made.. some comics may still be entertaining, but true stand up fans come for the jokes.. for instance, Trevor Wallace was an excellent example on this episode of how you execute impromptu jokes!.. i love this series, but i just hope that over time it doesnt stray away from what its supposed to be and become "watered down" ... Love this platform, but we need more actual jokes, rather than rants and diversions of the topic.. i get that its on the spot and no prior material can be used, but thats what makes it challenging and amazing to see.. you get to see in real time how jokes are made or how the comedians brain works when they come off the top of the head with the joke and it smashes! More of that!!!
