Check out my video giving the complete overview of the Stanley camp cook set. Here's the product description....
Anyone can look like a seasoned outdoorsman with this simple, smart camping cookware set. Cook all types of foods in the 24-oz stainless steel single-wall cooking pot that comes with the Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set Series. This stainless cook pot is lightweight and easily cooks over a stovetop. There is also a vented lid for the pot that will let steam escape while cooking and a two-position handle that extends for cooking purposes. You can eat out of the two 10-oz cups included inside this camping cooking equipment set. This Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set is ideal for tailgates, camping, fishing and hunting trips.
I give a complete overview of this Stanley product and cook Nissin chili flavor top ramen noodles. They work great in this Stanley item on top of the

Your right It is a great cook set. Sturdy and compact. I bought one to go in my son's kit when we backpack together. Your demo did point out the one flaw, thats efficiency in using it for rocket stove cooking. 7 min is a long time and a lot of fuel. For that reason I use my Jetboil to heat the water. It does it in 3 min, then we mix and eat from the Stanley. Thanks for the review.

well he didn't have a windshield, so that had something to do with it. Maybe the MSR pocket rocket 🚀 would have been quicker.

Thanks for showing us you can use the stock set as is, instead of tossing the cups and putting a key ring where the tab is, like most bushcrafters do.

Just a suggestion, but next time after you put the ramen in the pot and let it sit for 3 minutes, you could take the pot off the heat. The water will still cook the noodles even if it's not boiling. I think it says that in the ramen package cooking instructions too.
@MarkThomasBuilder

Thanks, I'll have to read the instructions closer. That advice will save my fuel.

If you put the noodles in before you put it on the stove the noodles will be 3\4 cooked by the beginning of the boil. Save a lot of fuel that way. Just saying. Great vid !

If you add the seasoning pack to the cold wateras well as the noodles, it is a one step process and they will be done by the time the water comes to a boil and will have absorbed all the flavor. remove from heat and let sit a few minutes. done. and you save fuel.
@MarkThomasBuilder

That's a good idea for conserving fuel. I'll have try it and see if it tastes any different. Thanks!

We must shop in the same places, because I just bought the same setup (stove, pot, cups). This was a well put together video, and thanks for actually cooking something. The only other reviewers seem to insist on high-dollar freeze-dried foods. Ramen is a perfectly fine pack food. I'm just beginning to get a serious kit together again, after a few years without. What are you using for utensils on the trail?
@MarkThomasBuilder

Thanks for the comment, I've been using the Alpha Light utensil set. I've happy so far. I'm interested in checking out the Snow Peak Titanium set. They cost a little more, but probably worth it.

Funny how people eat noodles differently, Originally as a kid when I started eating noodles I kept the liquid as you do but later I changed to draining most of the liquid away then adding the seasoning and eating in a drier form.

Interesting. I never ate ramen noodles when I was in college. Now I keep a few packs at work as a backup plan for lunch.

Over the years they tried to make them more healthy but in doing so changed the flavour and I no longer liked them. These days I eat Me Goreng noodles with a tin of tuna added.
@MarkThomasBuilder
@MarkThomasBuilder 7 жыл бұрын
I'll have to try them out. The added can of tuna sounds like a healthy lunch.
@MaZEEZaM

That was kind of half the idea, cause nothing about the noodles itself is healthy, just tastes nice.

Quick tip for the issues of the plastic tab on top of the cookset lid... Remove it before it melts in the heat while cooking and replace it with a metal spring key ring... Inexpensive and useful conversion!

I put a camping frying pan on it and it stayed balanced. I'd look for some solid ground though.
