This is handle hack that I came up with to solve the problem of how to get the Stanley Cook Set off the heat without using gloves or a multi-tool. It's easy to make and it involves bushcraft so what's not to love? Anyway, hope you enjoy the video and please leave me a comment in the section below!

Great Idea! BTW, I just made the fork and spoon that you designed that threads onto any pencil sized stick. Another terrific hack. I just drop them into the Stanley pot along with a fuel can and a tiny stove. The fork ended up being attached well enough that I feel I could use it as a frog or fish gig if I needed to. I sharpened the tines to use them for that, at least. We'll see.

A sharpie could come in handy in the woods, ya never know. I haven't seen this exact hack but a similar one a few years ago, his was more of a fixed handle but I like this type because it's easy to put on and take off. What I like about these videos of yours is they are short and to the point without a lot not so exciting footage, just the important stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I love mine I have 2 that I've had for a long while. I do wish they would come out with a 2.0 version though. It really needs a flat bottom for a lot of stoves to work better. I understand the tapered corner is for ease of cleaning but I think I'd compromise that.

I love your videos. I just watched another video regarding the Stanley Two Pot handle hack. But, when I decided to comment on it, I could not locate it again. So I will put my comment on this video. My question is, does the S-Biner handle become too hot to use, to lift the lid on and off for cooking purposes, and stirring food, once the pot has been on the fire for an extended period of time cooking? When food, water, etc., has came to a hard boil? I could see that it was easily lifted on and off, when the pot was still cool, but what about when it gets hot?
@WayPointSurvival11 ай бұрын
No, because it's in the center of the pot and away from the heat and flames. I've not had any trouble lifting it off the pot because of heat.

Would it not also be possible to cut and bend a small piece of aluminum pipe, just long enough to clear the cup handle by approx. 1 1/4". Make the cuts in the pipe w a grinder, dremel, hacksaw and file, etc. Bend the cup end into the wedge shape we want, with large pliers. The result is small, lightweight and all the carving one needs to do is to trim a stick to fit inside the handle end of the pipe.
@WayPointSurvival2 жыл бұрын
