Hey Stan, I am 18 and just got my first snowplow job running a skid steer with a pusher plow on it. I had never run one before but because of your videos I knew what all of the parts to it were and how to run it. My boss was very impressed and I just have to say a massive thank you to you for making such educational and fun vids. You really helped me out and I look forward to watching more snow vids from you. God bless and keep safe out there.

I'm going to have to get those for my wipers, we tend to get wet heavy snow here on Cape Cod. I have had the guys come back with bent wiper blade arms because I they were to lazy to get out and knock them off. Thanks for video

for the windshields you should try rain-x!!! stuff is great water just repels off of it and you don't get the smeared water on the windshield. Would be great for plowing and just normal driving. They also make it in washer fluid which works great though, it just wont cover the entire windshield.

You can get the same effect too with silicone wiper blades. They leave a thin film of silicone on the window surface over time and water beads up just like the Rain-X stuff, except you don't have to keep filling with the expensive Rain-X wiper fluid and the blades are a lot more resistant to icing up than regular rubber ones. The PIAA blades actually have replaceable inserts so once you buy the whole blade, then the next time (which for me was over a year later and I park outside all the time) you can just buy the insert only.

Arctic is the best man!! I mean from top to bottom speaking of which this is one of their loaders you see the kingpin blade that's a game changer there that cleans the big commercial lights with all the semi trailersit actually goes underneath the bottom of the trailer so that the semi can hook up to the trailer without chaining up the tires it's really coolItalian you I just can't imagine what they're going to come out with next I mean the salt spreader that's cool out of love to have that where I was at I'm not with them this year but I'm praying to God that I will be back with them next year. Best company I've ever worked for.

Stan, general key note regarding the ice. Ice is like the recoil of a gun. There is nothing anyone can do to stop ice from forming. I have four KZbin Channels and am preparing to launch another January 2020. This method is on my Farming With Chef Matt Channel. I am developing an ice management method. That is designed to effectively reduce the overall costs in the long run.

Also amazing that rude driver.. obviously wasn’t looking for any tips.. If I had a job like that and a customer asked me to get the pallet closer to the edge of the bed of the truck I would be putting on gloves and climbing up into that damn truck! Delivered Weber grills by myself in an ecoline e350 ford van for almost ten years. I had a ramp and that was it.. You learn how to “get it done” that’s for sure. Although my body pays for it today. some days I still miss that job though.. the money and cash tips were great!

@@augustreil It's been my experience that delivery drivers are generally on the lazy side and want the people at the destination to handle everything. I'd hazard a guess that most of them would be driving Class A and just bumping docks if they could actually drive. I get nervous anytime I'm around an unmarked box truck or a rental one.

As always Great Video, always great information. Quick Tip to jack rear without jack , place 12" x 12" block under rear, rear will raise when you raise the front. To own solid tire alone the without wrestling can use two crawbars, (I use a 3' & 5' pry bar) position tire close as possible with crowbar in front and behind wheel and use the leverage to raise and rotate tire to line up on lugs. Oh yea keep all the snow up there north Please.....

Respect, we are in Afton Mn. Running a JD 320d with a Cage pusher. The Cage has urethane skids on the outboard Side of the pusher. No visible wear after 2 yrs. The cutter blade has normal wear. If you keep all 4 wheels in contact with the ground that’s how to push. Now for back dragging with just the blade maybe a little down force but not much. Keep all 4 on the ground. I have never used that back plow. I’ve been plowing for 20yrs. I’ve never been in a lot without random cars! And I hate backing up in low visibility! Lol. Anyhow JD parts are easily available. We have Locker of parts from JD. It doesn’t have lug nots or rims though! Anyhow stay safe, cheers

JCB makes that skid steer for Volvo so if you want parts go to a JCB dealer. You get parts from them much faster. We avoid buying anything Volvo anymore because it's a week or more to get parts. If Cat tell you yours parts are on back order that means you will get them the next day. They may be a few bucks more but we have way less down time waiting for parts...

And some Serious Operator Training. Ever hear of it? If Ur gonna treat someone elses equipment like crap, then heres Ur shovel, Monkees and Bananas are cheaper P.S. nysdot had hired such retards that we had to spray paint front on both Carbides and Overlay blades. Carbides have a designed angle to them. Overlays are punched for the flush carriage bolts so U install blades reversed for a flush square, they would put on dozen top locks but couldn't tighten them any further than a couple threads then standing there for an hr trying to figure out what 2 do. Monkees and Bananas Cheaper....

You can use any open lug nut as long as thread is the same. Check with a bolt or measure it. I make them for a living along with wheel locks. The angle is called a cone seat. They are all 60 degree cone seats. You can even use a closed nut as long as the thread doesn’t bottom out on top of nut when its tight. It would be like M18 X 1.5 or something to that effect. M18 is diameter 1.5 is thread pitch

Watching these what I find interesting is the back drag, rear snow plows. I live far up in northeast New England and I can't think of any time I've seen guys run those things. I don't know why, they seem friggin awesome. It's just something I haven't really seen (except on YT). I also am not sure why it's fun to watch you plow snow, but it is. *:-)* Never tried heated windshield wipers. seems like a good idea though.

@landscapepros6755

Also from NE here. Two reasons you don't see those. One) They don't get coastal storms like we get in New England. The density of the snow is way different. Not that they never get wetter storms in the midwest, its typically going to be a drier snow and up here its very heavy, full of moisture from the ocean. Those things would just get busted from the repeated abuse. You're going to see more wheel loaders up here, especially if you're trying to do 16' pushes. Two) Once you put one of those in the bed, that truck can no longer double use as a salter. Which in New england, is very important with the freezing and all the crazy people just looking for a lawsuit. Salt, salt, salt. I would say there's almost zero market for them up here.

Wtf? Who’s working on his equipment that doesn’t understand standard lugnuts? I’d totally understand if it was something unique or uncommon like a split rim or wheel bolts with offset washers that he had mixed up, but that’s as standard as it get for wheel fasteners in America. Besides all of them backwards means he really thought they went that way, he should probably start back at the beginning of the mechanics handbook and only work under direct supervision to prevent future equipment damage or possible injury.

mathieu blanchette no doubt about that. And on second thought if the guy had any doubt as to how they went..... the research required was less than 20 feet and 30 seconds away on the other wheels of equipment and vehicles. I’ve noticed an inherent natural diagnostic thought process that is pretty much required to be successful in the field. I wouldn’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings but despite his intelligence or experience that natural ability is not strong in him and considering another field might be wise. His false confidence yet obvious lack of experience plus the lacking problem solving skills would make him a walking liability on most job sites. He’s the type of guy that gets the “this” many days since a workplace injury sign reset to zero.

Dumb question from somebody in sunny California (we don’t get snow... instead, everything catches on fire 🔥)... why not have some rollers to keep the edge plates 1/8 of an inch (or perhaps a little less) off of the pavement? So that it doesn’t get ground away? 🤔

Then there will be a layer of snow left, over and over. Replacing cutting edges is just part of the job.
