You won't have any issues with those tiny air bubble's, That is the whole reason for filling through the bottom plug! Also make sure you do not fill your gearcase too fast or with too much pressure with that pump! As I was just typing this comment I heard her say that pump fills the gearcase really fast! Filling fast is the cause of those air bubbles!

It would be a good idea to have a "dedicated" tool set, with high-quality tools to change the oil / lower unit fluids... Including replacement screws, and o-rings... I would have a mini bag with "just these items"...

I use a square shaft screw driver and put a small open end wrench on it. You can really lean onto the screw driver to get it to bite into the plug and then use the wrench for leverage to break it loose.

Nick you need to pull that thrust washer when checking for fishing line. It sometimes get between the thrust washer and the oil seals and that’s where it causes havoc. Tight lines captain I am fishing with you in November.
@Graham199512 жыл бұрын
I keep a large screwdriver only to be used on the gearbox oil screws, that way the screw slots never get butchered. Works well for me. I lost the warrenty on my Yams because I did the oils and impellers myself, even though the book said I could. Probably switch to Suzuki next time,because of that.

That is one problem with Yammies and other 4 strokes, the required maintenance is not good. You should have got Evinrude. The new G's are sweet.

@StanzFam5 жыл бұрын
It holds quite a bit of fluid, I Would guess 5 gallons or so. We never fill it up all the way . Works pretty good though
@polesetter59045 жыл бұрын
Can you purchase the pump sprayer with the fitting and ball valve already? If you have to buy individual pieces can you possibly list where you got your parts? The pump sprayer is a great idea a lot less messier than trying to use that little hand pump that attaches to a quart or gallon jug.
