So this is actually a very fun fact. The hero system in the US in MHA is incorporated into the military. The strongest heroes have a military background which is why SnS came flying in with an air force escort. And also theres a bit of a star wars reference. The commander, SnSs superior, is named Commander Ac Bar and looks like a squid after Admiral Ackbar from Star Wars. And if you listen to her theme it also has a Star Wars theme to it

Ideally he wanted to steal OFA before he even engaged Star because New Order is that good of a quirk. For example if she commanded AFO to be still and if he moved his heart would stop he would have been dead. Shigaraki survived do to lack of sense of self. He didn’t identify as Shigaraki in the moment.

I just realized that Bates didn't really use New Order to her full extend. First it reacts to identity so the first thing to use it more optimally would be to asume a new identity that is exactly one letter, to reduce the time it take to target herself. Next in her fight with Shigaraki she should used a comand like "If Katleen Bates would be touched by another living being, she will be teleported so that the touch doesn't happen." as a evasion tool instead of making herself super strong. I am pretty sure I could come up with more with more time to think. Logically speaking I'd think a creative and smart user of "new order" can not be defeated unless they are ambushed.
