That game reminds me of blasting wasp/hornets nests and they come after you like crazy!

I played this game back when it was relatively new. Figured out the sequence and played for about 17 hrs straight on 1 quarter at our local pool hall.. Had so many extra lives that I stopped playing to take breaks and let the machine play itself during those 17 hrs. Finally got tired of playing and just let the machine play itself until all the extra lives were gone. Took the machine about a hr and a half to kill off all the extra lives.

It was my favorite, but I wasn't very good at it. Is there a simple answer to: What was the pattern?

@@julesfalcone It is basically the same that is shown in the video . You fly on and off the screen shooting as you go. Come in from the right but shoot to the top and fly off the screen at the top. Your shots would also go off the top and come in at the bottom as you entered the bottom. Then fly to the left shooting off the screen to the left. Your shots would come in from the right side as you came in from the right. Repeat the pattern. You are coming in and out at 45 degree angles. In from the right-out at the top. In from the bottom-out at the left. In from the right-out at the top and so on. Basically the flight pattern shown but shooting twice instead of once every crossing

@@CptFantaztic Thanks for explaining. I did the opposite. I tried to move as little as possible. I actually got this game confused with a similar game called Space Fury. You get to choose three different attachments to your ship to increase the fire power. I'm guessing you had that one figured out too.

@@julesfalcone Yes, I would play for days-weeks until I figured out the pattern. Every game has a pattern built in. Trick is finding it.

You had to have focus and skill to play this game. Games like Defender. Joust. Missile Command. Asteroids. All had a theme in their games - play harder and faster as you progress towards every level to turn the game over. Those were the days.

This game is lots of fun....probably would be a lot easier if there wasn't that wicked cool sound action....lol! Like being in a casino....all you hear are the sounds of the house making money...haha.

They should have made this game with a shield that surrounds the ship like an asteroids deluxe.
