I actually like the Hull A, it's basically a Freelancer dropping all the make believe capabilities and sticking to cargo. I also basically never use mina, simply because the C1 does the same and ACTUALLY a lot more. If one day the operational costs are relevant this might return to my actually used lineup.

Interesting you mention operating costs🤔 that really used to be a thing, I remember melting my MSR a yr or so back because the cargo runs weren't covering the fuel costs.

I had a Hull A for a while as my dedicated solo hauler. Enjoyed it for the most part, has a lovely interior, fantastic QT fuel tanks/range, thrusters that sound amazing on take-off and landing and a cockpit that other MISC ships need to take a cue or two from in terms of visibility and functionality (looking at you, Freelancer.) Having said all of that, for just 35 bucks more in the pledge store or a bit more aUEC in-game…you can just get a C1 Spirit which is better in absolutely everything except for QT range and landing footprint (the C1 is a tight squeeze in the smaller hangars). If you’re looking to quietly do long distance, small-ish cargo runs to places where bigger ships are either hard to land or would attract too much attention…then the Hull A will tick those boxes. ✅ However for medium-range, moon/station to local planet and back again runs, or trips between stations not on opposite ends of a system, and for anything else for that matter, the C1 is what you want to get. Way better handling and speed, more firepower, more survivability, more versatility and still the same 64SCUs of cargo but in an enclosed, protected space with a well-positioned tractor beam on top. And if you don’t mind moving some boxes on your way in and out of the ship then it can technically carry a few more SCUs in the walkway inside the cargo area. The C1 can also carry a PTV or STV in its cargo bay so there’s that too.

Yeah, I think a lot of these smaller vessels, Hull A in particular are going to really come into their own once the cargo stuff is released. Plus the interior is just so nice in it.

I use mine to run Vice out of JT. One thing not mentioned in the video is this ship is basically invisible until you are right on top of it. 90% of the time you will see someone coming and be gone before they ever know you were there. Cargo missions on the unverified tab will be its bread and butter.

I don't do much dedicated cargo hauling, so the Hull series isn't something I want to own. That said, I _love_ the look of it, and as someone who has had a Freelancer (MIS) in his fleet since the Kickstarter, I really hope we get some of the refinement of the Hull series in a Freelancer and Starfarer rework. Soon™.

With 3.24 now out, the fact that this has a stowage access is actually a huge side benefit that a lot of ships are currently missing. Being able to easily store food, armor and other goods you might find while at outposts and facilities is a godsend in smaller vehicles.

hmm. since the panels are cargo grids, can ground vehicles be attached on them? Imagine plunking a Nursa on the side and making the Hull A a bunker runner with a panel for a cargo container to carry the loot.

Love the Hull A. It was really sad to see how much lower the design quality is on the Hull C vs the Hull A. I realize the Hull C was done a lot earlier than the A, but it would have been nice if they had updated it along the way, rather than push out an already dated design with the release of the C. I hope the Hull B, D and E will take their cues from the Hull A, rather than the C.

I love flying the HullA. The interior is awesome and it's a great ship for small cargo and deliveries (you can throw the boxes into the ship with tractor beam). I really want to see the Hull B completed. Something makes me think it will be a better hull A with more cargo but still a one seater or two person ship

I purchased the Hull B awhile back and the loaner of that ship is the Hull A. I have really enjoyed it. I can not wait for the Big B to come out.

This is literally my favorite ship. I upgraded my starter pack to it a couple days after if was released. The bugs that have been introduced with the 3.2x cycle are sad. And I hope they get them fixed soon.

We all laughed at outerior cargo holds... And now it will be rather desirable with how cargo changes. People think we have it difficult now xd wait until we will have to load hull C ships by hauling cargo from planetside to orbit with a Hull A (or RAFT) And load the C there with this cargo, take it to it's destination and unload with the same method.

Ever since Nomad was in the game it was extra convenient to just throw stuff on external cargo bed. The only two concerns everybody had about open cargo are piracy and pressure sensitive cargo, pretty much. Idk who was really laughing though.

I'm disappointed that you went to the trouble of opening up the breakdown of health points and _still_ managed to mis-read all those things as a measure of survivability. It has a ton of health points purely because it has a ton of moving and static parts. Many of these parts do not contribute to the ship's ability to take a few shots even when they contribute to the HP total. HP totals on ships in Star Citizen are largely meaningless.

When you look at it from the rear, it's strange how empty it is, sign of old CIG design maybe, all the empty space around the engine, could be used for fuel cells or just stuff to make it look like a stronger workhorse. Would have been nice to have VTOL engines too, and maybe stronger shields (but that's just me, I got ganked so much while moving cargo, I only wish ships were made of paper maché). Living quarters are superb, love the design, and those generous bathroom hahaha, other ships, often bigger ships, make do with smaller ones.

This is an awesome ship to buy in game and start your cargo journey if you only own a small starter ship. I just wish we could buy the liveries in game. I’m not a fan of the Chum Bucket livery. Watching the working bed’s tv screen makes me annoyed it doesn’t work in other ships, especially new ones like the cutter rambler

From what i saw in the video they showed how they make a cargo mission, it seems like even the smallest cargo mission will have you haul more than 64 SCU, so the small cargo ships like the the HULL A (plus even then chances are you wont be able to choose the sizes of the container so if its 32 scu containers you are unable to haul them at all) wont be able to even do these missions… Common CIG L tbh but lets see when they come out..

The Hull A is about where it should be. A little less versatile than a C1, but less expensive and smaller.

I enjoy my Hull-A. It needs a gold standard. Possibly a better landing stabilizer lol But all in all a great ship for certain jobs. Add as much stealth as you can and getter done! 10 4

It is gold standard... the modules are in and accessable, that's all gold standard means. Freelancer got it's "gold standard" recently, all they did is add the modules and make is so you can access them despite all the changes Freelancers need.

I don't play this game (there's possibly a "yet" in there somewhere...), but I like the more industrial-style ships like the Raft or the Drake ships. The sleeker ships like this one kinda look a little boring and lifeless to me, if I'm being honest. Seems like a good game for a variety of folks, though, since there are so many options for each style of gameplay!

i keep having issue with the cargo spindle getting stuck. it seems to just be cosmetic but it looks really stupid having cargo just hovering there with the spindle not extending

The atmosphere speed is annoying; but the Hull A can go far in Quantum. I’m think the Hull B will be quite desirable. Overall the Hull ships are unique and open up interesting gameplay

I'm only assuming from this video alone, but... you can't open and close the cargo portion of the ship while it has cargo attached. In all scenes where you said you couldn't open the spindle, you were showing cargo already attached to the ship.

At its in game price point with the amount of health points and fuel it has, definitely a great ship if you are only looking to do cargo. But yes, the C1 spirit is a great multi-use ship at a different price point and its own disadvantages.

This ship runs purely on vibes and nothing else. Can it make the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs? Hell nah... Can it fight off the endless hordes of pirates making a run for your booty? Not a chance... But does any of that matter when you are in the pilot seat, head bobbing to lo-fi beats, just cruising in quantum space? I think not. Things to know before owning the Hull A: Pros- 1. It's a grower, not a shower! (LAlt+K extends and retracts the cargo arms) 2. 122,650kg of glorious nippon steel and sex appeal! [Musashi Industrial & Starflight Concern will not be held responsible for the increase in popularity when flying this ship.] 3. Any NPC or Player that shoots you down while you are flying this ship does so out of pure jealousy and a feeling of inadequacy. (They must have overheard their lover talking about the sexy beast and their impressive Hull A that they saw at the space port.) 4. Being the full-figured woman she is, the Hull A can have a tendency to roll over when landing. Treat her gently and put her down softly! 5. This is what peak trucking performance looks like! (Eat your heart out, Chevy, Ford, and Ram!) Cons- NONE WHATSOEVER!!!! "bUt WhAt aBoUt tHe sLoW SpEeD AnD fIrE pOwEr??" This ship was born into the verse and started fulfilling everyone's wildest dreams and without the need of those gas station pills! So, it's only natural God would have to nerf it somehow. 64 scu is a lot, but not enough to hold all the hotties storming the hangers every time you land in town.

$20 more you get the base freelancer or the cutty black both are better and the freelancer you get 2 more scu of cargo, its faster, more then twice the hydrogen capacity and you can defend yourself better then this thing I would never recommend this to anyone if they are using actual cash ingame its half the price of the freelancer so there's that

The problem with he high armor/ low shields combo is that it is the inverse of what you would want as an exterior hauler to protect your cargo, otherwise who wants to hire you to ship their precious cargo?...no common sense in the design...these videos, however, are exactly the thing we need to make decisions on our ship purchases! 😊
