Gotta say, i'm over the moon about the Pisces. I was concerned that with the small hangar we'd only get something like the Merlin, or even an open canopy snub. All I really wanted was something like the MPUV, with a little cargo or personnel capability that could be used for away missions when you don't want to take in your large ship, and I got that with a little firepower thrown in to clear the landing zone.

Im so confused by the ship buying section on rsi website , it shows me the ships that are not avaliable for sale. It's hard trying to find in one place all the ships that are possible to be bought right now. I wonder how much CIG are missing couse of this.

Note: there is no way to actually buy the regular C8. it only come with the carrack. you can only buy the C8X at 40$ warbond, 45$ with sored credits and 55$ as a game package ( SC only, no SQ42 included)

I really hope the dev speed pace will be boosted, like really, during 2020. Snow storm looked insane. Almost felt the cold :D. Sandstorms like those would look insane. I hope we'll have planets with Acid rains, radiation storms, etc...

That was my thought when they showed it the body temp. Every underahuit should be able to keep a body temp over negative 270°c ish. That's the average temperature of space. The things these suits are meant to be designed to protect you from. So the basic underahuit would be fine on microtech

In space there is no atmosphere though. so the heat has nowhere to go. its actually not TOO hard to heat a suit in space, but with wind blowing all the emanating heat away, you would need something other than a space suit

@@Nott-A-Robot thermo dynamics, all heat tries to even it self out. A hot thing will always try and heat a cooler thing. Same in space. Just in the vacumm in space is you will never satisfy it. Most of the system in modern suits is heating and insulation. Wind will try and speed up hear transfer but if with wind chill it's negative 200°c then then space is still colder and the suits still have to cope with that

@@happybunny1986 Hi! I actually teach thermodynamics and you're wrong, however I'm going to be nice enough to tell you why. In the vacuum of space your only heat transfer is infrared radiation and it's actually pretty small, this is why getting rid of excess heat is really hard for spaceships and satellites. Other than radiation thermal energy can't actually dissipate by itself but it has to move from one mass to another, in other words vacuum is near perfect thermal isolation. Meanwhile the top parts of earths atmosphere are actually hot enough to melt steel however as it's so thin (nearly a vacuum) there's just not enough of that hot mass to transfer enough thermal energy melt anything. So it's not that you can't satisfy the vacuum, it's the other way around, the vacuum actually can't hold thermal energy. To understand why you need to know that temperature is related to atomic movement and vibration, so if you don't have any atoms you can't hold nor transfer any thermal energy (unless you radiate it away with photons, but then it's the photons carrying that energy, not the vacuum). Meanwhile on a planets surface during a snow storm you actually have a huge amount of mass moving past you in the form of the wind that brushes up on you (several kg or pounds per second), not only that but the air that you heat up instantly gets replaced by new cold air so you constantly have a really high temperature gradient between you and your surrounding leading to a really high rate of energy transfer (this is called convection or convective heat transfer). In sort you can actually do pretty fine naked in space for quite some time (well assuming you manage to keep all your organs inside your body and have some way of breathing), your body produces about 100-200 W of energy and only radiates away about 100W so if anything you risk dying from overheating after a few hours. Meanwhile if you go out naked in a Microtech snow storm or go for a swim in icy water you will freeze to death in a few minutes.

Note: CIG have confirmed that the C8 will not support 4 weapons. The additional 2 x hardpoints are due to a bug. See Pisces Q&A for more info.

c8 only comes with 2 hardpoints. There is a bug right now that shows that you can put 4 but thats incorrect. c8 ex comes with 4. One of the devs said it was a bug on spectrum.

they got rid of the front gun. if the turrets artikulation is as bad as the show had. the ship will not be able to shoot infront of the ship and most of the time only 2 size 4 guns will be able to fire at a time. i hope they will fix it. or the carrack will be a death trap for eny person stuck in combat. most medium ships would win a figh. hope they make all the 4 turrets or 3 turrets fire in front so it can get it self out of a fire fight.

you do realize there are many teams working on multiple things at the same time, right? The ship pipeline is streamlined, so it only takes about 10 - 20 people working on ships to be bringing them out at this pace. there are still 500 other employees developing the game. don't be so ignorant to assume ships is all they are working on. LOL

Yeah the tacked an extra 100 dollars on it when they made it longer then after shortening it they keep the inflated price and now that it looks like a bloated whale they drove the price up another 100 dollars talk about taking advantage of your fans/backers any way they can.

If you're concierge you can buy the exploration game pack, $695, the price of the package has not been hiked. So it now has over $900 dollars in ships. All ships with Lifetime Insurance, all of which you may upgrade to another ship to give that ship LTI. Great fleet building option. I used it to literally save money while upgrading my carrack to a Polaris. lol

The cargo never really changed the original SCU of 1k was before they even decided on the metrics of an SCU today. The actual space metric wise never changed and it's only 100ish less than a Caterpillar but has support vehicles, drones, and facilities where as the Caterpillar has to sacrifice cargo space to add more facilities and has only the detachable bridge as a support vessel.
