Note - When you sit in the seat up the top remote turret it takes control of the bottom guns if someone is sitting in the bottom seat. Later on, we should be able to swap remote turrets. Also, there are more gun racks next to the doors camouflaged lol.

Feels like the four jumpseats behind the cockpit and matching four weapon racks means they are supposed to act as security for the ship, protecting the pilots and ride home while the infantry squad goes off to do their thing

Another difference between the landed mode and precision mode are the feathers. In landed mode they are closed up so you can use them for cover like you said but in precision mode they are fanned out a bit.

The remote turret probably only has one traversal field built and its with the vtol engines engaged for normal flight preventing the ability to look down on the sides. Great job again, really enjoy your opinions on the different ships.

This ship reminds me of the new carbon fiber textures on Osprey ships. I think the textures are perhaps the nicest on any ship in the game. Cockpit view is 10/10 for me. Looks like a fun ship to troll in and be a pest. I’m very satisfied with what I see

I traded the Hoplite in and got The Prowler. With the right fit the Prowler is a great gun fighter. The top turett is slaved so fires from the pilot seat.

The deceleration probably wouldn't be too bad if you were making an in-atmo landing - you're not gonna be going anywhere near top speed while in an atmosphere so you won't have as far to slow down.

The Cockpit is not described to have a camera system. Its described to be a solid armoured material that gets transparent from one side only. "Both the pilot and co-pilot cockpit shield is constructed of kelsun composite utilizing original Tervarin engineering techniques. A process that created the most resilient transparent shielding of that era, a byproduct of the process gives the exterior an opaque coating while still allowing the operator to see out.[2]"

Traditionally the upper seat is the pilot, and the lower the gunner. Interesting ship, kind of a HIND minus the missiles.

Andrew Fallon only certain ships are currently available to buy in game with in game currency. The rest are only available from the RSI website using real world money, 890 Jump and most of the larger ships are in the latter category.

Gaming fact : the prowler's weapons are all ballistic because the heat and energy signature of the laser weapons are massive, so it keeps it stealthy

So, this reminds me of a ship I saw from a designer that is working with Star Citizen, called the Wyvern. I loved the look of that ship, and I hope someone didn't just take a few points from it to make this thing.

Thanks for the review, I try to catch all your vids, but I have to admit my initial concept impression is basically unchanged... The only thing it might have going for it is eventual stealth capability, and the only thing it has actually going for it is CIG has apparently finally figured out how to do a proper copilot station (and hopefully that knowledge makes it into every other ship that's currently lacking). Aside from that all the other "features" are simple silly gimmicks that won't matter one bit when someone actually goes to use the ship in game. Windscreen animations, alien "feathers", ground hover mode (or did they drop that?), and red glowing "air shields"......Plus a highly probable flight-ready Carrack level price bump any day now? I don't think so..... And I've bought some version of damn near everything else available! LOL!

indeed, it has two of the new best in class/size sheilds, it can eat glaive shots without problems, only issue is that the ballistic cannons are low velocity, id recommend swapping those out with revenants and for the turret, fl-33s

This is mainly used in medium to large orgs for OPs like 20 vs 20. Really cool ship if you can manage to fill it up. Also a REALLY good duo fighter as funny as it may sound.

Less advanced yet with more impressive technology. Lol At the time humanity should be able to control things with their mind and communicate telepathically. Ok maybe not but the fact that they still use landing gears, cars with wheels and guns with projectiles just like today's firearms indicates that possibly human technology didn't make much of a progress for long period of time. I've been saying this... CIG needs to put more effort into the lore. If I was Chris Roberts I would invest a couple millions in hiring the best Science Fiction writers out there. I still remember Mass Effect and how well written it's story was. I want something like that for SC.

Well, how much of *this* human-tech infused version is Tevarin and which is human? But yeah, tech in SC makes no sense tbh. Windows in spaceships, especially fighting ships, would IRL just reduce structural integrity. So this setup with cameras supplying a feed to a screen makes more sense.

It's not glass, it's a material that's even stronger than the ships hull, but it's way more expensive so they don't just make an entire ship out of it. But you'd think the cheapest way then would be to do what the prowler does here and make a tv screen cock pit.

I *REALLY* hope they add a Tevarin fighter or general purpose multicrew (constellation equivalent perhaps) ship with the same cockpit setup, that is by far the coolest part of an otherwise (mostly) useless ship. How many people are going to EVER get any real use out of a 'stealth' dropship? A Tevarin designed single seat light fighter that is entered from underneath or behind would be amazing. Perhaps a two-seat heavy fighter or bomber as well.

Don't think personally they have done the wings justice, cockpit should go up in flight mode, wings should fully extend to look like it can and probably should have a altitude glide mode on low power semi stealth etc on atomosphere and it should have separate front landing gear like talons that can attach onto large ship huls etc

The side cover on the wings is not enough. If you had to deploy 16 troops and came under fire only a hand full of guys would be able to take advantage of that cover. Would make more sense to have cover at the front of the ship which the guns could support with suppressive fire as long as they were gimballed.

The augmented reality view with the external cameras exists (F-35 Pilot Helmet) and a similar aircraft exists (V-22 Osprey). But to have one that's close to as efficient as this ship, not really, with current tech it would be extremely loud and short ranged due to the fuel inefficiency.

The interior seems a bit weird to me. If I recall the Tavarin are like, a bird people warrior culture? Wonder what the significance of all those red veins inside are... Just seems impractical unless they provide oddly strong structural support, kinda like China's Bird Nest from their Beijing Olympics. Which, I guess since they are birds, is a funky nod to the concept...

its intended to look like a jungle type forest. the ceiling is the forest canopy where light passes between the branches. i guess it gives the birbs some comforting homely feelings. Alot of these alien ships are really just artsy artsy design with inspiration drawn from what is here on earth and or from other syfi sources. Though because they are alien, thought is being put into the reasonings and what possible psychological effects and all that other shazam it could have on the species who built it and inhabit it similarly how we use color theory to convey and induce different emotions in us be it in advertisements, military, hazards or even your own room.
