Star Citizen HOTAS "Correct" Throttle Settings

Patch 3.23 | Logitech X56
In this video I'm demonstrating how to correctly set up throttle controls and keybindings to the most natural settings. I'm using a Logitech X56 in this video but the concept is the same for all joystick / throttle combos.

For those complaining about having to rebind your settings when you come in every couple of years: 1) Setup your Axis settings in SC 2) Use the HOTAS software to map the buttons to keybinds, e.g. Button 4 = C, Button 5 = G, etc. You should also be able to name the buttons, e.g. "Couple/Decouple", this then makes it VERY easy to update the bindings if SC moves something to a different binding or you want to move your bindings around, as well as refresh yourself on what each button was for when only playing occasionaly like I do. I bought my X-55 mid year 2 when SC should be "Released at the end of the year", and I pop back in about once a year. That said, over time I've definitely found that I prefer flying decoupled and once it really is close to being released then I'll be switching to HOSAS.

Thanks ,it drives me crazy having to rebind every time I decide to give this mess another try. and they've changed stuff around again so not even my file saves work... I like to also have forwards backwards on my stick ,thumb stick for landing precision maneuvering too and hope i can find the invert for that ;) another day ! I'm done with the long wasted hours rebinding for today . Plus i thought it would be a good idea to do my testing as i set my spawn at seraphim station where there turns out to be an event where everyone is shooting you XD

I logged on after 5 years with my old bindings, crashed my ship, then logged off. They added more throttle settings that I didn’t know about.

I have random actions performed by my X56 throttle module. I have chaff and doors open buttons added to the throttle which randomly activate. Do you know a fix for this. Thenks for the Vid BTW

There has always been an issue with ghosting on the x56 I found it was caused by under power from the usb , to rectify i installed a pci usb card just for the x56 and it is cured 3.0

They did a survey a while back and the overabundance of and terrible quality of the controls was my biggest gripe. I hate a bidirectional throttle. Let me flip a switch to control the direction. Learn some lessons from X4 and war thunder. Its not that hard. Ffs
