I have a question:" If I buy a component, build it into the ship. It gets destroyed and I call insurance, is the bought component destroyed, or is it delivered with the insurance?

Big thing I’ve learned is with the quantum drives. Military is not always the best option as the high speed comes with serious fuel draw, killing travel distance. Some civi options are much better for smaller ships.

I usually don't fool with upgrading anything as for now due to at any random time my ship may suddenly decide to despawn, hover above the ground @ 20' after I've landed and gotten out of it, be captured by the over-aggressive folks that REALLY feel the need to put my ship in storage while I'm turning in a delivery, exit my ship a fall through the moon/planet/station surface to the netherworld, choose to leave my pilot's seat and suddenly be jettisoned out into the black, among many other things. For now I simply fly around and explore and use the funds I've accrued to build a smashing, armory, weaponry, and clothing collection. LOL I love this game and I love it's potential even more.

Question regarding the upgrade process. I see in your video some ships you have have locks over their names on the vehicle outfitting mobiglass screen. How do you remove those locks? Does the ship have to be stored or something?

this helped a lot, i do have a silly question about stealth. If you kit your entire ship out with stealth components how effective is this against other players? Do you show up on the radar still, do they see your little green triangle icon when facing you? And secondly, how does port selection (on mobiglass) fit into all this?

Hi TA. Quick question about the components. So if the ship is destroyed you loose the components fitted and that makes perfect sense. how about when you have to claim a ship back from another station or when the station has decided to store the vessel making you do a claim for it. I have noticed it does not always give the retrieve option.

Great video, Tac! Components & upgrades will be useful and immersive parts of Star Citizen game play, especially when it's fully implemented.Quick question. What's the difference between the numerical grade and the A.B.C.D grade? As per your example, your Aquila came with a Size: 2 Grade: 1 cooler, but the description lists it as Size: 2 Grade: C Type: Civilian. You want to upgrade to a Grade: 2 Military cooler. The cooler you chose was Size: 2 Grade: 1(no change here) and in description is Size: 2 Grade: C Type: Military. I understand how switching from Civilian to Military components changes pros & cons, but the grading system is weird. Do we pay attention to the numbered or the lettered system? Do they each denote different parameters of performance? Is this just an "alpha" inconsistency that will be ironed out eventually? Cheers!
