I love my 315p! It's for sure a tourer, but I can take down NPC Cutlasses and Sabres, provided my flight tactics are on-point that day.

Btw the tip by 4:40 is the Lockon mechanism on Rockets. Its very similar to what actually lockon missles front look like!

I worked with rockets and missiles in the Army. I found it a bit sad that the ones like that could see so much more than I could, but only for a few minutes before they died on impact... Lol. I'd give up my last few years to see in ultra-violet.

That tractor beam is the exact same model that was on the original 315p. Its most likely going to get reworked when tractor beam tech gets put in game.

I would love a mix between this old design and the new design. The old ones has a better cockpit with physical buttons and you're close to the front. But the seat in the new one looks better. The gullwing doors that opens on both sides were amazing on the old one, but the glass canopy and living quarters in the new design is a big improvement from the old one. The round mechanical engine thrusters on the old one, was a lot cooler than the new engine thrusters that don't have any charm to it. The same goes for all the bits and bobs in the old one, like the fire extinguisher and the pipes and wires, just gives it more personality, that i miss in the new design. But the new one, especially the 315p, has a lot more storage space wich is invaluable. So a mix of old and new would make the perfect design imo.

I have just CCU'd my 300i to the 315p, just because of the extra 4 scu. Additionally it still has the good sized interior. I like the looks too. I plan on swapping out the projectile weapons for energy ones though. Another nice video - thanks :)

The pyramid smelly thing is the sound system. I think that would be cool to have your own tracks playing ambient sounds

WOOOOOW!!! I haven't seen the new version of the 300 series until now! Last I logged on it was the old model! My 315 got sexy!

It should be noted the "square & boxy" pilot seat and the "carbon fiber" finish on the dash (+trim line all through the aft interior), are both paid upgrades here. The 350r has this "Racing" seat as a stock config. 300/315/325 all start with the other standard seat as the base package. Some of the goofy minor bugs with animations in SC, really crack me up. Laying in bed, but the the little EVA thrusters on your space suit are blowing constantly. [~11:16] That third little gizmo on the counter, is supposed to be a speaker.

I wonder if the tractor beam will have a function like the one introduced in the TIE Fighter video game where you can use it to hold a target in place for a chance to land more shots. The tractor beam looks like if you put a shroud around it and change some of the ship detailing then it could be a navigational deflector on a ship from Star Trek. To me the "Plutonium Tip" looked like a tracker. I've heard that if you light a match, or probably a cigarette lighter, in front of a heat seeker missile and move it around you can see the tracking sensor follow. That intake does look bigger. I wonder if CIG might make a version available where the toilet is moved to where the gun rack is and the bed and kitchenette are replaced with some passenger seats. Make it look more like a private business jet. The 300i, 315p, and 325a could use a fold-able door, like the toilet one, to close off the pilot chair from the back. I wonder if they will make the 3 or so steps into the bed area retract and a component or extra gun or item storage slide out similar to the rework being done to one of the bombers. Being a luxury geared ship by its manufacturer I am surprised that it does not have a shower.

Nice video :) to be honest, I own this ship ingame, too, and there is one thing that bothers me. It is the usage of the interior space... the ship is quite roomy, it could have had a co-pilot or emergency seat in the cockpit or in the living area, or even some kind of bulkhead (to prevent decompression). I get that the 300 series is supposed to be the luxury stuff, but the space seems to be a bit wasted... And the 300 series is far from the only one... Mustang's canopy looks like it could fit at least two seats, the Avenger could too, and there are many ships that could use it's interior much more effectively...

It all, or mostly, comes down to the animation requirements. One of the primary reasons the 300 series was redone itself. Makes things look a bit off and wastes space but I chalk it up to game needs and let it go.

That would be a good thing actually but from a practical standpoint it would require space they dedicate to other things. Having a atmospheric shield solves the issue - they have talked about it.

Dono about that. If its only meant for 1-2 people it doesn't necessarily need one.

@@rexkraft_ In smaller ships, like the 300 the entire interior is the airlock, so would I guess be depressurized prior to leaving in vacuum. That would require no loose items of course. Advantage: Avenger iin this regard. Unless the fancy-mancy Origin gets the aforementioned energy shield to prevent decompression.

@@ericwollaston5654 hit my point. The smaller ships it just depressurizes the entire cabin. Putting an airlock in something like a 300, which is designed to be operated by one person, would be wasteful, make the ship larger (as it would need a 2nd door) unnecessarily. Also, the game is meant to be realistic.. to a point. They are tying to apply the 'rule of cool' in where they can to make sure fun doesn't get overridden by realism. That said, I do wish the ship had a de/pressurization cycle like the stations do. And that may well be in the future when they get sectioned atmospheres working properly.

Keep the 315p for light salvage/exploring, or upgrade to 350r? Can you put a size 4 in place of the tractor beam?

Nose mount is a size 3 utility hard point, no guns but hopefully long range targeted scanners
