If somehow "meshing and Quantum" make it so the backend, the server infrastructure, can handle it, no gamer will be able to render the thing, it's not happening.

i mean any ship with a ramp can serve this purpose. It's the landing part right now that's a problem but you could in theory put like 100 people on a herc and airborne their asses in on the drop. Although currently you'd probably have a bug where the pilot falls through the ship then your entire org dies in one wreck as you face check the surface

If the combat is realistically balanced and there were no gimmick things to help tanks be useful (which there will be, for sure), the tank doesn't generally have a purpose in most battlefields in star citizen. Tanks are even getting out of favor today because of atgms. They are only used for very specific tasks like mobile artillery when there's no air superiority in the area.
