Marketing doesn’t push development or updates. Marketing takes it cues from the development team, but when they make promises, promises must be kept because of the marketing budget. For instance if say you have a house built by Feb and i go and promote and set up viewing etc it’s much easier to produce a house that need appliances or carpet vs rescheduling the entire event.

i disagree to a certain extent . there have been too many time where a patch that just isn't ready that is pushed cuz there is a planned marketing event going on . i think once marketing is told something is coming by X that is set in stone where marketing pushes back cuz there work is done and schedulers are primed . once that is done there forced to release it cuz Y money will be made for that quarter , if they held it back then there is confusion when backers see the promotions that will go out and quarter revenue is lost . its CIGs fault for promising certain events at certain times of the year which all conenside with SALES and quarter income which there is always some sort of new system or mission type ETC to go with the SALE . CIG needs to learn not to put in new things during these events then maybe we would get less underperforming patches . i will always stand on the PU live NEEDS to be the best it can be in performance standard , it needs to be stable with the least amount of core game system issues .

@@explorer47422 really speed is the concern, an f16 best speed for dog fighting is 180 meters per second. Real air craft do not dog fighting over Mach 1.

I'm pretty much on board with the same predictions. One feature I think you missed that would be a huge QoL update is the social tools. My hope is we get this some time this year. That alone would make the sandbox experience ten times better.

Imagine next XT 500 players show up and one shot the Idrises lol They'd have to bump up the number of wrecks and enemy ships by an order of magnitude which would definitely burn everything down. It would be awesome though

I used to think it was server meshing that would make or break this project. Turns out it was Master Modes that broke it. At least in the sense that everyone in my org and any friends I have in SC have all stopped playing until there is a realistic flight model again. F16s fight at a faster speed then our future space ships after all... Also as a ship racer I absolutely hate how in atmo flying feels now.

@@Rabbit640 One where you don't go from 1000 M/S to 200 at a push of a button. One that takes actual physics in account. One like the previous flight model that they changed to fix jousting. Jousting is still a thing for new players because CIG didnt teach them how to engage in a dogfight. Instead CIG put a skill cap on every ship.

@@Snicklefritts that magic break really sucks. the rest is fine for me. but i'm not an expert. what else except the break sucks? (i'm actually curious) Maybe fligthsurfaces ig. those would be needed for realistic flight in atmo anyways, before doing much changes. but what about space combat, what do you think needs to be changed? Edit: Also server meshing is still the breaking point. without it working properly there is no game. and it defnitely is NOT working properly at all.
