In this video we take a look at my personal fleet, the aim of this video is to explain some of my reasons for why I've picked the ships and how I intend to use them in the future, obviously this will change as time passes but for now at least I'm pretty happy. Its a slightly different video today and I hope you enjoy it.

Star citizen and my ever growing fleet! AS voted for by you guys here is my personal fleet and some of the reasons behind my choices. As the game develops further changes could be made, but for now I'm happy with my collection. But what do you guys think? What ships do you have in your fleet? Original backer with an Orion, Polaris, 2 Ares, a Lighting and a Ghost. Not including gifts to friends and family. I think it was the recent IAE I felt I'd spent enough on Star Citizen. Rather than the excitement of buying and waiting, I can recommend sharing what you have with others in game. Overcoming your trust issues, and the adventures you will have along the way. My Carack is named Glücksdame, what means Lady Luck in german and my Mercury is named Love Commander, both ships named after ships owned by Lando Calrissian, because I love the Star Wars franchise ,read the majority of all books, especialy the storys around Han and Lando...of cause I exclude the "triology of disney abomintation"

@@BlakedaBull prefer the prequels. The only thing disney did good was Rouge One ,Madalorian ,Andor and all the other stuff what was made by the Feloni team. The Kenedy bitch even had the audacitiy to say they had to make the sequel crap because there where not enough source material.. one of my friends has a wall of star wars books.. enough source material for 50 years of star wars movies. In my opinion this crap was made up to enforce some kind of a feminist agenda. All females were portayed as heroes and all male characters absolute idiots. JarJar Binks character is probably made by some one who took same classes in "Ideocracy" but it is just one character in comparison to a whole triology.

Great video and well thought out fleet ! ❤ I think you highlighted most of what makes a good fleet. Not all ship have to work together, but it gives you all the tools you need to fulfill your needs and wishes Personally, I would start with this base template to build a fleet: - At least 1 daily driver: a ship with enough fuel to zoom around the verse, if possible polyvalent to do a bit of everything on a day-to-day basis (NB: I put most starters in this category) - 1 money maker: a ship to earn quickly money when needed that doesn’t require any investment (so no cargo), for industrials, deliveries or BH, as you prefer. This is especially important after a wipe to easily get back on your feet with basic equipement and a bit of cash to start. - 1 specialized ship for your main role(s): I see this as my "phase 2" ship(s) once I have my basic needs covered (QT-drive mostly) and am comfortable enough to not worry about money (usually when I reach the 200-300k). Also the first ship you should buy if you’re beginning with a starter, it’ll allow you to buy way faster all the other ship you want/need. - At least 1 "special" ship: a "love at first sight" you absolutely do not need but absolutely want. Having at least one of those in your hangar is good to have and take out on special occasions just for fun. - Then you can think more "late game" and how to advance in your gameplay (with bigger and more specialized ship) or grow your bank account with more "passive" income (like a BMM shops that make money on their own). NB: If you can afford/want only a single ship, I’ld strongly recommend a daily-driver that has a special place in your heart. You’ll find ways to make money with it but the most important is to love the ship you’re flying on. Cause if you don’t love it it will crash as surely as the planets go round.

Love your fleet. I so understand you for the Pirate Caterpillar. I'm a one ship captain : I only ever have in my hangar one large fleet, one fighter and a vehicle. Until recently I had an LTI Poaris as my main ship. I melted it to get the Pirate Cat. That's how much I love that ship. There is no other ship in game that gives you such vibes of rough and tumble, truly lived in, sensation. It looks straight up of the OT Star Wars, you park it on Daymar and pull out a tarp while you BBQ some critter you've found. My fighter now is the Glaive. I'm all for the pirate / raider vibe, and you can't get more raider vibes than with the Glaive (although admitedly, it locks up A LOT of money in a single seater...

Thanks for supporting the game so much, I enjoyed hearing about your choices. Your fleet is much different than mine - my "big ship" is a Galaxy (I bought the base one to get the modules in-game), and am working on completing some CCU chains to a Warden and C2. I'm looking at a Prospector as well, and with the recent mining updates they were talking about in an ISC, you might want to grab a $5 CCU to the Prospector from the Freelancer MAX in case the price goes up a little bit. A $5 CCU from the Connie Aquila to the MOLE might also be prudent if you've got interest in that one. The new RSI miner should be interesting, and I can't wait to see what it's all about and where it slots in. Then I can finally commit to a mining ship. ;)

Me see Perseus, me upvote! A good looking fleet, mate. I guess you are only missing a repair and medical platform ;) The 400i is a strange one. I have bought and melted it multiple times, only to just come back to it. Of all the explorers, even though it is missing some of the features its bigger siblings have, I kinda love the 400i's personality. It's not a combat ship by any means. It doesn't carry much cargo, or carry most of the vehicles, but the design and feel is just special in its own way.

To me, the 400i is the dangerous exploration ship, not the Corsair. The 400i has the speed and shield to get away from anything big while it's dual rear turrets chew up whatever decides to chase

@@stgwi can't comment on how effective the rear turrets are but I can see how you may be right. I used to have twin AD-4Bs as the main guns on mine, but the change to ballistics and hull in 3.18 changed that.

Enjoyed the video! For the moment I either have or plan on getting: BMM, Liberator, Genesis (hoping for variants), Crucible, Galaxy, 400i, Spirit E&C1, C8X. I’m intending to get the medium salvage ship whenever that happens and lastly I’m still debating what combat ship to settle for.

Nice fleet!! You have a few ships that I have in my own fleet. I am not a combat player in general, but I “needed” the F8C in my fleet. I already knew I was going to get a combat crew ship to enjoy with my son and friends. So I “had to” buy the Polaris so it could carry my F8C. Other than that I am mainly a old boring player doing cargo, mining, stuff hence why I “had to get” a Merchantman and a Galaxy (buying Mole, Vulture, etc. in-game). I also, like the exploration, repair and science side of things, so Crucible, Odyssey and Endeavor round out my fleet. Oh, and my 135C which is upgraded starter ship. 😉

Nice fleet! I don't see myself having one of this size but it was nice to see that you covered my two big ships, the BMM and the Corsair. I feel like it will be a decent gameplay loop to have the Corsair as a daily-driver and use it to gradually fill up the shops and cargo hold on the BMM. Now that I have those two along with a Dragonfly I feel like all my bases are covered enough to earn the rest in-game. I do have an STV as well to use as an LTI token though...

Nice picks! I also do have the BMM and I thought about getting the Odyssey and the Perseus but I sticked to the Starfarer G. and the Corsair as my "bigger" ships. There must be something left to achieve in the game 🙂

Nice fleet bro. I have the BMM, MSR, Connie Andromeda, Gladius, Titan. Im obsessed with the BMM, just like you. I definitely love the Connie over the Corsair though, I always smile when I see it and ill never forget the first time I saw it. Gladius is self explanatory, but the modularity of the titan will be AWESOME. Not to mention its is easily the best backup ship(maybe the cutty for medium size). Ill never not have a titan in my fleet.

The Vanguards are suppose to be long range escort so I' would bet they buff the range you can get out of it. As the size of the universe grows the Vanguard might become a go to ship.

Nice fleet! I concur with you on the 600i although you can deny it's firepower as well. Once the new design comes into play with the med bed, it will be my GOTO ship for exploration. I have the Cosair in my buy back as it was an impulse buy when they weren't fixing my Connie Aquila quick enough. Love the Connie for the 80's Syfy look. The MSR is awesome and will definitely even better with the new door just behind the cockpit. My guilty purchase was the Polaris. I don't care what it takes, I'm keeping that ship. I love the design. I have a hard time with the Carrack. I have one just because I bought a Galaxy. We will see what I do with the Galaxy if the come out with more modules or not. I'm will probably get melted. I can't stand the exterior of the Carrack but love the interior and its future functionality. We have to part ways with the alien ships. Not a fan of them.

Nice fleet you have there! My Pirate Cat is reserved in the buyback system =) As mostly a solo player, I used to have the larger exploration pack with most of the ships CCUd to other ships and then IAE happened and i got my hands in a Kraken. Now i just have the Kraken, the Corsair and an Argo Cargo referral LTI token for a future CCU chain xD Dunno if i'm gonna regret the decision of melting my entire fleet for a Kraken, but i just love this ship (enough to make me melt all my stuff anyways).

I love your fleet! It happens to look a lot like mine. Lol. I personally ended up upgrading my perseus to a polaris last year, because I realized that I wanted a perseus to fight bigger ships, but that I could do that almost just as well with a polaris while also having better ability to fend off lighter stuff.

I was watching this and had to laugh. As frustrated as we all get from time to time with the SC, no game has the ability to draw us in to the verse like SC. We look at our ships like our RL vehicles lol. Great fleet PIN! I'm a Carrack guy myself, but I am really looking forward to check out the Odyssey. Corsair is amazing imo. Just melted my Connie because I always went for Corsair. I adore my 400i, I use it a good bit just for the experience. I have melted mine twice and always regretted it and still have one in my fleet.

I can't argue with your selection as a whole. I myself am leaning to logistics side of things. The oldest ship in my fleet is a 315P for it's tractor beam to move asteroids and salvage to assist larger ships. My second oldest ship is the MSR for the sole fact it has a working chess board and everything else is a bonus after that. I also have the Explorer Multipack with many ships having been upgraded. Package is sitting at a Carrack Expedition, Freelancer DuR, Spirit C1, Terrapin, C8x, C8R. Rounding up my standing fleet I have an Origin 135c for something fast to spawn at outpost or as a shuttle. Last two ships in my fleet is the 400i for small squad or solo light cargo and the Liberator. Liberator is something that caught my eye as a method to move ships and freight. Many of my friends focus on bounty or mining and it would do well to both task if range is an issue in pyro and other systems yet to come. The ships I'm holding as tokens are the Terrapin and the DuR. I have ccu's for the DuR to an SRV and the Terrapin to an Apollo Triage. I'm waiting on future updates to decide if I will apply them. I'm crossing my fingers for the DuR refinery ability however if it falls short I think the SRV would be a larger version of the 315 for me. I love the Terrapin for scouting and box missions but as more systems come in I think medical needs might be more common.

Very interesting video and fleet ! Here is my fleet (quite a lot similar to yours in many aspects, except I'm an industrial nerd :D) : - Blade (love alien ships) - Banu Defender (love alien ships / esthetics and sound design just on another level !) - Antares => will be swapped to Santok Yai when it's available (love alien ships) - MSR (this is my daily driver - so versatile and easy to fly, loveeeeeee the thrusters sound design, interior is so cool... what not to love ?!) - 400i => for solo exploration/daily driver when I don't need MSR cargo / so far don't use it too much and I guess it will see much more use once Pyro is available as it can scan jump points - Phoenix Emerald (So far I keep it as a collectible) => need a big rework but so beautiful anyway and provide emerald p72 too and more :D (it's my Sunday's ship !) - 600i => Must have for exploration (after rework) and modularity toward luxury gameloop - Reclaimer => Money maker, looooove the look and industrial gameloop - Orion => Money maker, looooove the look and industrial gameloop - Carrack => will become an Odyssey for the same reasons you explained ! Odyssey IS ONE THE SEXIEST ship I've ever seen ! Auto-Fuel will be really important in the future I feel. - Merchantman => Currently don't own it. Will be bought as soon as it's available again (890 jump on steroid + interesting gameloop / money maker) - Caterpillar => King of modularity ! can't wait for rework ! This ship is so practical ! it will have two tractor beams and so much more in the future ! very underrated ship atm. - Perseus => love this ship !!! War fun without too much crew / Redeemer on steroid + torpidos - Redeemer => Community ship ! Such a beauty ! No brainer escort ship ! All other war ships will be farmed with industrial ships (A1/A2/Taly/Polaris/Fighters...More ? :p). I know there are quite a bit of medium ships with overlaps in here but imo they are all special and I just love them :D Moreover, I believe it will be better to have that medium size versatility and have options instead of being stucked with huge ships impossible to crew...

my fleet so far, A2 , 600i , MSR, Sentinel , Redeemer , 315p , 325 , Avenger titan , Cutter, 125 , 135, Vulture, Cutlass black , Freelancer Max , C8R , C8X, Andromeda , Valkryie , Mole . Going to reacquire the Terrapin , and 400 at some point. Had the Carrack but with the 600 to get a rework soon, didn't see the point in keeping it. Happy i will be able to carry a Spartan in it for bunker runs soon. My bigger purchase later will be the Odyssey and Perseus

I have the BMM also, for the same reasoning, or lack thereof, as you. Was bummed to hear it's been delayed yet again. The only other ships we have in common are the Warden, the Vulture. and the Prospector. I have a basic Sabre, too, but it's upgrade fodder. I gave thought to the Spirit Bomber, too.

Right now i've got my early bounty fighter Aurora LN, a 135c for delivery/non-ship combat missions as it's fantastic that you basically never run out of hydrogen fuel, then on the bigger side i've got a LTI 400i for exploration and a LTI Reclaimer "Herald of Enterprise" as the money maker.

Great fleet. I like exploration so i decided to go one of every size. The cutter, the avenger, the nomad, the spirit c1, the corsair, the carrack, the polaris, the prospector. Ive got 3 more planned but those are keepers. The corsair is my solo mini-carrack and the polaris is my flagship and the carrack is my solo deep explorer

Great Video, I loved every pick u made and I'm planning on getting a very similar fleet. But, I think the only change I'd make is melt the corsair for a Ares Inferno. The corsair just seems redundant if I were to have a 600i exploration and an MSR in my fleet.

Quite a nice fleet, you’re a little heavy on exploration variants even once you melt the 400i in my opinion. I selected to Carrack and 400i as my two, as they provide something quite different to one another, and it’s for that reason I didn’t go for the Odyssey or 600i. However both fine ships, and your fleet looks well balanced and thought out.

My fleet is a Pisces w/game package, an Apollo Triage, the Prospector., the MSR, an Aurora CL, and a 600i with a CCU to a Perseus. Love the Perseus design, but I would be good with something slightly larger with medical beds. The Aurora is something I am using for future store credit. The Prospector and MSR are for making money. The Apollo might be my daily driver. I did look at the Polaris as well, but I do not want to find a crew for it. So, it is a little too big for me.

@@Spaceman-PIN I know. The 600 rework looks great. But I am looking for a military ship. The galaxy got me excited at first. Then seeing no coverage of the rear, weak shields and the armor does not look great it is not a ship for the front lines. I may end up going with a Polaris even though it is a little bigger than I really want.

Nice choices overall, though I chose the 400i over the Corsair due to my non-aggressive nature. The 400i flees with speed and has its firepower to the rear. And agree on the Merchantman, it's special 😊

That is an impressive fleet!!! Corsair, Mercury, Banu Defender, Terrapin, Spirit C1. Not into big ships at this point as I'm pretty much a solo player. I'm quite surprised that you love the Merchantman and alien ships so much yet don't have a Defender! It is a great ship...only slightly less maneuverable than the Sabre with the same hardpoints, huge fuel capacity, and an S2 shield. You do need to get used to the pincers. The Terrapin is my daily mission runner. It is VERY tough and flies quite well in all conditions/environments, albite slow. Great for box, bunker, MRT bounties and service beacons, etc.

I think the taurus is the underappreciated ship. It has some pretty big cargo space. plus internal tractorbeams you can use within the ship. I personally loose most of the origin ships. They are mostly a one trick pony. Might wanna look into the galaxy and get those modules in game.

All of my ships need a window in the living quarters. Both the corsaire and msr have a perfect place for a window just waiting there; they wouldnt have to shift anything. Oh, while I was at it I would move the door for the corsaires washroom to the hall where the manned turrets are.

Reclaimer is actually faster solo than the vulture is. When it comes to the actual salvaging that is. Vulture has the advantage of being able to land anywhere and easier to fly.. etc

My issue with the Odyssey, and I want to stress 'my' issue. I fully understand some people like the concept and that's what I like about SC is the choices. The Odyssey has a single size 2 mining laser (FYI a mole has 3 size 2 mining lasers). A size 2 mining laser has the same stats (with the exception of range) as a size 1 mining laser. So effectively this is a big ship (close to hammerhead size) with a mining laser of a prospector and I think getting fuel when required will be a challenge. A size 1 works on a prospector because it is a small nimble ship. I hope to be proven wrong, and I suspect it will get a buff. But right now, the logic looks wrong (to me).

Thats a valid point, im wondering however if the onboard refinery is efficient thus the smaller mining laser. I.E would mining a small quantanium rock yield a large fuel return from the refinery ? Just food for thought but i think your correct with the size being inappropriate for a ship of that size.

From what I understand, that ability to craft a multi-tool on the Vulture is actually a bug that they are fixing in 3.19. You're only supposed to be able to make attachments for it, not the tool itself. The Prospector is likely to be the best for solo mining as you can nudge closer or further from the rock you're mining for finer control of the charge level. It's also the perfect size for grabbing a full load of quant if you do it properly. This means tricking it out with the Lancet mining head, an FLTR-XL perma-module + others as needed, and setting up a good route for mining and optimizing that route as well. If you're mining the Aaron Halo, start at the refinery you're going to use, jump a little past where you want to mine, turn around so the sun is at your back, then set your route back to the refinery and drop out of QT (but don't clear your route set) so the sun is to your back and your refinery marker is to your nose, then just scan rocks in front of you. Find a good cluster of Q-type rocks, break them down to the smallest chunks you can, then hoover up all the 100% chunks as fast as you can and book it back to the refinery to store your ship before it can go boom lol. A full load done with the right refining method will net you about 240k planetside. You *might* be able to get a bit more in a mole if you're super careful and fast and a perfect pilot, but you still gotta get out of the cockpit, down the ladder, into the turret, no moving ability at all, then when your volatility timer is as low as you're comfortable with, jump out of the turret, back up the ladder, into the cockpit, spool up the QT drive, jump to the refinery, hope it's not being camped by griefers... it's just a lot easier and faster using the Prospector if you're solo lol.

Like minded individuals. The night before release i make my final fleet but as it stands. Carrack/M2/Redeemer/Starrunner/Terraphin/Nomad/Hornet Ghost/Vulture/Prospector. Maybe i go for Perseus or make it so that i can get a Endavour/Carrack combo so i can point myself in a direction to go exploring. I love the 600i but one meteor shower and it turns into a crossiant.(waiting for gold rework do) Single seaters, 3 man crew and 6 man crew max or NPC crew. Awsome list, plenty of reason behind it, good to see. o7

I think were starting to see how tough and expensive these big ships will be to run for the solo player. Even the weapons will need repairing or replacing often esp a military one, gunners, co pilots, engineers (maybe multiples) Crew to fight fires and repair modules during firefights etc, a large cap ship will be beyond the average solo player, let alone a fleet. You will spend more than you make, and do not forget the important part. CR has said a few times there will be a limit on the amount of AI Crew we can have and that it wont be a large number, he does not want RTS in space etc. Saying that i have all the ships you have plus many more so dont worry i do the same thing LOL! I have lowered my fleet now though and dumped most cap/large ships even the Perseus, that is not a solo ship at all, but doesnt hurt to have a few big ones huh lol, even my BMM ill prob keep and sell ingame to fund my touring and adventuring lol.

I love the way you justify the purchase LOL I've tried and failed .for me I mad a mistake of getting the Fortuna package thinking it was a great saving PMSL ok the 600i in it is great like you said and the 400i is a good transport as its got a good QT distance. the Phoenix was in a good place when I got it but its so out dated now I dont want it LOL I can upgrade a ship from the package but if I ever want to melt the package the the upgrade will be lost too. So close to melt it this IAE and use the cash to get back the 600i 400i and MSR which is what I want out the pack but it didnt leave much cash left not even to get any Connie so it wasnt worth the melt Im getting the Phoenix for $100 along with a rover, Cyclone & Linx and 2 x P-72's . I did melt the liberator and Crucible for the Arrastra and Galaxy then melted the prospector as its a loaner for the Arrastra and got an E1 and Zeus CL ( which gives me a C1 Loaner ) I was determined not to spend any more cash until im happy with the direction the game is going. the Perseus is a Can not wait the Carrack is just because it can carry and other ship better if you could get to the cargo. Vulture on top of the Carrack you could scrape all day LOL C8R I like it ok. the Sabre oh yes love the ship, Scorpius , F8c, Blade , Glaive, Iron , Inferno and Hornet F7c-M Heartseeker are my fighters and the Corsair for just because its a bad ass but flys like a brick LOL Yes I have spent far too much and notice more solo ships than big ships that we will need others to help fly it I was so tempted to get the Polaris but I would need to melt the Fortuna pack, which i didnt want to also some Fury's for the LTI stuff try to justify that lot LOL and no Im not that good at PvP lol

Pokemon syndrome is real in this game. I have a BMM, Carrack, M2, Vulcan, Redeemer, Mercury, Harbinger, Sentinel, and Cutter. I have 2 nephews who I will be playing the game with when it is more polished. So the Harbinger, Sentinel, Vulcan, and Mercury are all ok enough for 3 players. I tried to minimize the massive multiplayer ships. The M2 is due to planning to run our Cargo through hotspots. Great fleet btw.

Its exactly why it takes so long. Can you walk around the whole ship in elite dangerous? Can you walk around your ship in no mans sky. Yes... a good 5% of your big ship... while it isnt moving at all. Its exactly beceause of the amount of detail and interactability it takes so long. They are bassically big maps that you can fly through space. Even cod maps are smaller then some of these ships their layout. Take the 890 jump for example. Thats a whole game map in and of its own

Nice fleet but what about fuel? Yes, I know Starfarers are awful to fly but, if your running a fleet of this size, I would consider one as essential. It's true that the Odyssey can process Quantainium but I doubt it will be as efficient as the Starfarer will be. Otherwise, a good selection of ships there. 🙂

Interesting video and I like your fleet. But I also noticed during the video you mentioned A few things that you don't have quite right. NPC's are not something that you can purchase. You have to hire theNPC and pay them a salary. Plus, you have to treat them well and train them as well. If you abuse your NPC then he or she will either walk off the job or not do their job effectively enough. Also an NPC will never be as good as a real player so don't expect too much from them. Another thing that I also noticed on your video you talk about that you wanna solo play with a lot of your ships which sounds great. However, do you understand this could actually possibly work against you. Since as I said before an NPC is not as good as a real player. So you might wanna consider joining an Organization so that you can make some friends and have them work with you on your ship.

Merchantman: How the Merchantman and the Kracken will work is you will be able to select a number of in-game "plug and play" stores like Platinum Bay or Tomany and Sons and the items sold at your location will be randomized. I think there's plans to have an option for a self created / custom shop. Odyssey: Quant refining will not be to it's end-usable form. Only so it won't blow up in 15 minutes. No refueling - only selling.

it depends on what you would like to do around the verse, ideally you would choose a ship that's tailored to your preferred profession. Once you figure that out, the rest should be natural. I strongly advise that you try all the verse has to offer in order to get a clear idea of ship will suit your needs.

I would choose between the Corsair and the 600i. Not really a huge point in having both for anything other than ship lust, lol. 600i would probably be more sensible considering it will get a med bed eventually. Dump the 400i as well. It definitely has the cool factor, but other than that you already have better ships. If it were my fleet, I would also dump the mustang. Everything else is solid.

The Origin ships have terrible ''Window/Glass/views'', they are either non-existent or too high to see out of, the only ship that comes close is the 890J, and secondly the ''Hair Salon'' decor in the Origin ships is headache inducing. The 600i is indeed getting a remake, yet i very much doubt it will be an explores choice........no looking at vistas from the interior. Have a couple of cheap CCU's as it will go up in price

Man I cannot for the life of me, do not understand how the odyssey is NOT a carrack killer. It 100% is. I have the odyssey over the Carrack for the sheer obvious fact that it has more features than a carrack. The hangar can hold any kind of ship that it fits which is dedicated in itself to some particular gameplay, a vulture for example, F8 lightning fits inside it! It has more game loops for folks to mine and refine fuel to stay out longer, it can hold a tank in it's vehicle bay, people who are bringing a carrack with any modules are going to have less cargo, and that pises is crap period. Anyway, BMM is awesome. I have those 2 ships, as well as a Polaris, Idris and Perseus. I also have the MSR, and that ship has a LOT of bang for the buck as well! I'll never part with that ship either.
