Too bad, they missed their chance to have the long design mean something from as an astrophysics perspective by having sensors on both wing tips, creating a long baseline array with higher resolution images, a virtual telescope the width of the whole ship! Instead they put "nothing" on the other end?? Such a wasted opportunity.

When the wings are horizontal it should be better for atmospheric flight with all the lift they’d generate, they need to add an option to have the wings horizontal with the engines and landing gear staying in flight position.

Once you ship gets damaged to a point it looses power mid-flight, you are trapped. Will be pretty bad for the repair functionality once that is in. Also the interior is another point regards CIG not following any straight lines regarding future gameplay mechanics. Not a single other ship has those research utilities. The new 315p doesn't even have a research console as far as I can tell. I really would wish they'd plan more ahead what tools/stations/features a future career/activity might use and then develop props for that to put into ships. If they don't do that, ships will either need another rework down the line to cramp the utilities in or activities will get simplified to evade that rework.

Just because they dont have them right now doesn't mean the mechanics and game play wont come at a later point. They are talking about Viruses in game as in Biological, They are talking about a science version of the endeavor so the game play does sound like it is planned......

Does anyone else think the 2 weapons hardpoints on the "bottom" of the wing should be placed above and below the cockpit along the central axis, so in flight mode they're firing along the "sides" of the cockpit, between the 2 pilots?

pretty sure the pannels near the camera ball on the wing are some sort of radar/radio frequncy scanning gear, not solar panels, since solar panels that small on a ship would be like a sceen door on a submarine

@@KillerOs13 good point, if it has high power cameras, especially infrared, they would need heavy cooling, having it on a separate system would make sense too since the main coolers have to endure sudden load spikes from weapons, thrusters, and so on

@@UNSCPILOT While I at first thought you were overthinking this, I rethought this and maybe you're right. I am leaning towards phased array antennas for the sensor suite. Just line now you can adjust the parameters of the sensor ping, I would assume you would use these in a fly by of an item, since they don't seem to have the same structure on both sides. And in vertical flight mode they point DOWN.

Dude, EXCELLENT job finding a great lighting environment to show the ship clearly. Hangars have buggy lighting and, for whatever reason, ships spaw in hangar with damage effects. I saw one guy do a review in the shadow of an asteroid. I couldn't see anything. Also, unhooking landing gear operation from wing configuration is on their list of things to do (also affects swing wing and other types). Explosive bolts to blow the cockpit glass away from the ship in lieu of an ejection system isn't a stretch to imagine or implement.

You missed the coolest part of the reliants. Sit in the copilot chair and access the remote camera feed from the scanner. The Reliant is the only starter ship to provide multi crew gameplay. You can actually install 2 remote turrets with 2 size 2 guns on any of the variants. The copilot can control both simultaneously providing complete coverage firing at any angle. I picked up a Tana because I think these ships are so good. I just hope they can take more of a beating than when the kore was first released.

In space, you could go into flight mode and turn 90° and fly sideways relative to how you started. Not sure how long a Reliant can sustain that in atmo however

Those are not solar panels i think, as most likely those are space radar or jamming. The other wing section has what looks like a radar dome of some sort because its evenly rounded with symbol on it.

I own a SEN and I realllyy like it. It is kinda pointless in the PU right now because no exp/science gameplay obviously, but I'm in love of what the concept of the ship is. Also I really like the two modes, I do hope once VTOL improvements come in it means I can fly in "horizontal" position too, without landing gear extended.

I don't think those are solar panels on the end of the wing. I think they're sensor arrays, like hyper-sensitive sonar or radar. The large antenna surface area would make it far more receptive.

Somebody Nicked your Loo!!!! Gonna have to lock my ship, cant have us holding it for days at a time, Mine is great, sat on it last night in game. I am sure they are not solar panels, more like sensor receptors, probably EMF or some such. I believe the right seat will run the scanners, and such, the back seat is oriented more for science, so analyzing samples etc. Maybe unlocking some excellent new bits in the game by doing so. Find a new food group, a planet with BACON flavored plants!! Love the idea of going out and poking around the system with this. I would assume a really good set of optics slaved to other sensors in the gimbaled turret ball. CANT wait to really start using the Sen to its full potential.Thanks for the video, Keep em up!

By the looks of them I'd say those are radiator panels rather than solar panels. I could be wrong. But you should have a look at current day space hardware and the ISS in particular. It has a LOT of panels, but actually a major fraction of them are radiator panels, not solar panels. And solar panels tend to have a bluish black hue, while radiator panels tend towards reddish brown. (if you're wondering why a spaceship needs radiator panels, and why so many of them, turns out that a basic law of physics is such than in a vacuum, one of your single biggest concerns is getting rid of waste heat - this problem is so large in fact, that it's one of the principal reasons why 'stealth is space' is actually kinda nonsensical. That, and the power output of even something like the space shuttle is so high that if it's main engines are firing you could see that from earth with current day tech if it was happening in the orbit of pluto... - long story short, waste heat is a big deal in space.)

Those are Not solar panel..they are probably;y some sort of Scanner/IR/ER sensor like a radio telescope. And the Warning sticker is For Biohazard not "Radiation"..Oh Tactical I still love you.

The new FM will allow this - but the gear will be down. However since the new FM doesn't have "Precision Mode" the gear out is only cosmetic, you can still fly the same as gear up.

I don't know how the Sen is, but the Tana is currently suffering from absolutely awful heat problems, even when afterburners aren't used. It really becomes nearly unusable after a short while in combat scenarios, even when you completely avoid using afterburners and stay out of cruise speeds. It's a constant barrage of warnings that engines/weapons/shields are all overheating. I've flown many of the other light and medium fighters, and all of the other ones only overheat when pushed- Reliant overheats under basic use. Lovely ship otherwise.
