Just a heads up for those struggling to get the mission to work only accept them from a moon not the main planet body.

This is exactly what is happening. People have been whining that it’s a glitch but it’s not. You need to complete the “licensing” and beginner missions to be able to do the later ones. Before, the game was “glitched” and an advanced player could share the advanced missions out the gate. They just fixed it is all.

I really like the idea behind these videos, but can I suggest that you use starter-friendly ships (auroras, titans maybe even stretching to the cutty black)? This is what most beginners will use, as opposed to a Zeus CL or f8

Keep in mind of hangar persistence. If you “claim” a ship someone left at a bunker and land it in your hangar, you’ll still have it on your next session. There’s abandoned ships all over the place you can find, especially in pyro

@@shusjord yeah, your hangar persists. The hard part is not all the time you can go to your hangar without spawning a ship :D

It's not gated missions as such. Mission sharing now only works if the person has the required rep for that Misson. That's across the board

I hadn't been doing those missions because they had failed so many times. but now I might do them.

Afraid? Nah. The problem is that it often doesn't spawn a freaking quantum beacon... or if they do, no enemy ships spawn... or there are enemy ships, you clear them out and the mission does not complete. 75% of these missions are bugged for us.

Got past the first tier of them and they all spawn normally now. They also always work in pyro but are called Pilot In Distress

the trick is to go to a moon then collect it. it doesnt seem to work when going from the main body

i cant get the beacon to spawn so i can jump to it. ive tried accepting it from the moons aswell but nothing

Yeah, they changed it so you can't share advanced missions with people that haven't done the prerequisites anymore. The thing is they weren't very vocal about that change, so everyone thinks it's a bug.

I tried this mission with the Guardian QI and as soon as I got there the ship just exploded, don't know if the mission was bugged or the ship flew into a invisible asteroid or ship.

They're easy if you use the right ship ... I tried one first in my Guardian QI, and got smoked, wasn't able to protect the ship it got destroyed and I got seriously damaged, all because my ship was unable to keep up with the turn rate of the smaller ships. Then I tried it again in my Arrow, and it was complete in seconds with the ship losing no more than 1% (and my ship hardly even got hit ever). But the mission is also very bugged, as often the jump marker won't appear (not to mention the problems with QT atm)

Half of my weapons were the scavenged attrition repeaters that I got from the "Save Stanton" event, and then I filled out the rest or my load out with laser repeaters.

I tried to play today, but they wanted me to wait in que for 183 others. NOPE, not gunna happen. It's bad enough that they ruined mining and now salvage is a money loser. They are making a good case for playing the other space game. I am now actively telling people to not waste their time with this
