I wish I had the creative capacity to come up with sci-fi alien race with as much chaotic energy as the thraddash.

The Kohr-Ah talked about having to remain in constant pain to escape the thrall of the Dnyarri. After the headache of having to deal with the Thraddash, I think the Ur-Quan as a whole would have preferred that pain.

Cigars; a truly universal symbol of toughness, aggression, and masculinity in the Star Control universe. Or maybe Culture 18 previously ran into humanity and there was an exchange of goods and ideas before the Ur-Quan showed up.

It's interesting that a culture of 14's nature came immediately after 13. Perhaps that transition was more peaceful than most - as 13 was able to create sufficient political stability that individual capacity for violence became less necessary?
@MediaManPower9 ай бұрын
The joke is that c13 proved they were right. By being pacifists, they didn't put up a fight, thus the Thraddash didn't do enough damage to each other and their culture went back by only 50% compared to their other cultures. Because even as an opponent, peace was more beneficial to the Thraddash than was is. Truly masterful writing.

Pretty hilarious concept for an alien civilization. Other sci-fi universes like to imagine an alien race that knows nothing but violence and combat as being the most fearsome, predatory forces in the galaxy. But SCII asked the question, how advanced could such a society society really be if every revolution sets their progress back a few hundred years?
