I wonder if the whole "see the future and past" thing is meant to explain how the player is able to save and reload, making different decisions.

Gee, I like at 1:20 the way to solve problems of the Precursors: send the evil guys to another galaxy -preferably the farthest possible of the ours-, so the guys there will have to contend with that menace.

Aww, I hoped you would ask him "Why does the bridge turn purple." :P

I thought the precursors were supposed to be shaggy?
@tarponpet3 жыл бұрын
In this game it's mentioned that they had some variation, some were shaggy, some weren't.

for all of the issues that people take with sc3, I think when developers have a mysterious precursor race and then eventually chose to reveal them, it's generally disappointing like an ending to a series you've been waiting for years for only for it to not live up, yet in this case I thought they had a great idea on the "why" of it. The idea that the precursors De-evolved themselves to avoid a threat they would then re-evolve from and continue working on a solution for seems clever, even if a lot of the other things mixed in there are wack.

Honestly, I don't buy the Arilou needing human DNA for a second. I mean, if only the Arilou knew a species that specialises almost exclusively in Biotech. Like the Umgah. Besides, I don't think the ancient Egyptians had nuclear weapons. And another thing, the Precursors seem to confuse intuition and button mashing for psionics. I want to believe that this is due to some bonkers predestination thing they suffer from, but that would require an effective use of language beyond this games understanding

Assuming that evil guys are less smart than their automated probe and can't check if they got the right destination after arriving there.

@Shavarnarak More or less the same thing; space monsters and mutants of the 60's were the then equivalent of genetic/DNA/gene-splicing fantasizing of the 80s and 90's.

No. The Ur-Quan were slow talkers (via their Talking Pets) in the previous game.

Admittedly, while the overall story is Sh** I do think that how they dealt with the Rainbow worlds forming a arrow towards the galactic core was clever..... Also, am I the only one slightly unnerved by the aliens? I mean, who was thinking that it was a good idea to have PUPPETS be used? (just stick to pixels, you guys.) Also Can we ask the Precursor to explain the rules of Frungy?

I know how to play frungy, With Gusto!

i was so on board with everything this guy was saying until he started talking about arilou wanting human DNA. They're buddies with the umgah! It's all a bit too chosen-one

This explains why the orz call the arilou Quickbabies. cuz the arilou are babies in comparison to the orz who are the eternal1s

I'm not a geneticist, but If we go with software analogy, then buggy over-engineered codebase can be called stale and can be easily succeeded by new one, done almost from scratch. This happens rather frequently. Still, the story of SC3 is lame.
