@@AustinGeorge-c8z I’ve since replaced that rod. I used it as a flyline setup during that time. Really nice blank. My replacements are a combination of UC and Seeker. 6480 lineup. Check out 310Rodworks TTR. They are manufactured by UC for 310Rodworks, a new 6480 with graphite and glass blend.

The Cortez is awesome for price point, has awesome freespool and super light from its graphite frame. I sold it few months ago. Another alternative in similar price points would be Shimano Torium or Penn Fathom. Awesome reels for the price. Thanks and hope that helps.
